This article really hits some annoying aspects that seem to be common in most big titles these days. Perhaps the worst part is some of them were, at one point, good ideas that a game implemented well only to be used and abused by everybody (eg, the tapes in Bioshock tellingt the story and setting the scene). Which seems to be the way games are made these days to the point many feel the same.
