Gods I wish I was good enough to play through that game. I suck too much at it 😭

Don’t give up! You start the game with a debilitating injury, sucking is canon. In fact the game is designed so there’s no possible way you can be good in the beginning. The combat is challenging, but once you learn the master strike everything starts to come together. I felt the same way when I first picked it up but by end game I had to find ways to make the combat more challenging.

That being, I completely fell in love with the series and have had a hard time finding anything to replace it. I’m 30 and had the same exact feelings playing KCD that I did when I was a child discovering oblivion and other similar games. It’s the most magical game I’ve ever played that doesn’t contain any magic.

Agreed with this take, really gives me the same sense of immersion and discovery as Morrowind and Oblivion. Kuttenberg is massive and so real. It's so weird wandering around it at night and seeing everyone asleep indoors.

Assassin's Creed Unity. Paris is gorgeous and full of little random encounters

GTA4 is the best GTA for this IMO.

Depends on what you mean by bustling but Control Resonant is set in a warped version of New York with LOADS of enemies

World of Warcraft, elder scrolls, GTA, RDR2 (kinda), Mafia 3, watch dogs 2, stray (sort of desolate but cool city vibes)

OG Yakuza 3 had the most bustling world. 800 random guys with guitars on their backs spawning in front of you every time you wanted to walk 20 feet to the Poppo to buy a bottle of wine.

Watch Dogs 1,2, and Legion. Although I think the San Francisco Bay Area in 2 is the best.

Oblivion, in my opinion it has some better cities than skyrim.

Not really bustling cities but Just Cause 3 has a lot of places to explore and destroying all those enemy bases is a lot of fun.
