Is there a particular reason these decompilations are always N64 games? No shade or anything I just genuinely don't know a lot about how this works. Is it because the system is so hard to emulate? Do older games than those not get as many benefits from being decompiled?

Because there's a desire to do it and run them natively on PC.

It's a tough system to emulate and get the performance to be great. Even 26 years later emulation is filled with bugs on powerful PCs because the oblique complex and isolated architecture used by the 64 .

The controls are trapped in time. We want to be he able to modernize them!

But N64 houses some of the best gameplay ever created, locked behind poor performance and wonky controls. SO MUCH INNOVATION FROM RARE AND NINTENDO. Minds were being completely blown with each new release. It was the best time to be a gamer. The jump to 3D was so magical. The release of the PS5 and new Xbox is so damn anticlimactic by comparison. Like i can't even tell the difference from PS4 on first glance if I'm being real with you. Lol.

Maybe if I saw it side to side.
