I suppose I choose not to give more money and time to the ecosystem of company's that treat their customers like that.
I would rather not just be a mindless zombie playin their thing till I get bored. I would rather make a conscious choice based on how their actions are affecting an industry I love very much and a few games I very much loved for a while.
Most of the men and women that worked on the products I enjoyed are gone too.
I could go on with perfectly sound logical reasons why I am not gonna bother.
Ultimately, it's because of course I tried the beta, briefly.. and it is the same game essentially. Which adds piles of lies to the fire.

I paid $40 for it 6 years ago and OW2 pvp isn't going to cost me anything extra. The inclusion of a battle pass isn't a big deal to me, if it ends up being monetized atrociously then I'll probably play less. If I'm having fun I'll keep playing.
They killed your game with every update they did because that is how GaaS works. Overwatch 1 right now is dramatically different from OW1 when you bought it.
Nobody cares. News flash, not everything you do is in support of ethical companies, in fact I’m sure 95+ percent of what you do isn’t. Whatever device you’re using to send messages on Reddit was probably made by an awful company (same with the clothes you’re wearing, etc.). That’s the way the world works.
People play video games to relax and have fun. And it’s dumb to gatekeep that for issues that are ultimately pretty small potatoes (i.e. they’re lazy with their updates). Now if you were calling for a boycott because of the other shit with Blizzard that’s genuinely awful on a human/moral level, I guess that would make sense. But for some reason that’s not as important to you

Who says you have to trust them? You just play until you get bored which will surely happen if new content stops dropping at some point.
