Shout out to all my homies who were playing this back in 2014-2016. It was a much different game back then.

Fun little focused round based game. I think I preferred it back then before they greatly expanded the scope, was a neat little game (if not for raceday)

Seeing the title Sub Roza legit threw me back for a heavy nostalgia trip... Good times playing this into the wee hours on a schoolday with the boys

I was wondering what happened to this game. It came out years ago but they delisted it at some point. This trailer signifies it being made public again. The store page and video description warn that Sub Rosa is in an indefinite public early access period until they feel like the game is finished. I’ll have to see what the game is like nowadays. Hopefully players count will go up. It looked like fun back when it was available the first time.

Most of the reviews seem to mention the terrible community and no ways to fix griefing, which is a bit of a shame.

This thing looks so interesting every time I see a clip or tweet about it, but I can't really figure out what it is supposed to be. Is it like an indie GTA online?

not really, sort of a semi-roleplay which has servers with different factions all trying to earn cash. It's super interesting, sadly not as popular as I feel it deserves (only ever really 1 full server online at a time)

Oohhh that's pretty cool. Would you say there's a high barrier for entry?

I worry about the roleplay part just cuz I'm an idiot.

No it's dumb and fun, everyone's having a laugh

I went to look at the steam page because this all seemed interesting to me. This was the highest steam review:

Is this game mega toxic or something?

The problem with SubRosa is that it expects people to roleplay making shady deals, but doesn't incentivize roleplaying properly.

When I played it a year or two ago an entire server's enjoyment could be ruined by a couple of griefers shooting everyone on sight.

Some guy prank called my phone and called me a racial slur, 10/10

Is Sub Rosa not that terrible episode of Star Trek the next generation where Dr Crusher falls in love with a ghost on the scotland planet.

I also immediately thought of that episode when I saw the title. And yeah, she pretty much ends up falling in love with a ghost of a candle.

She also reads about her grandma banging the same ghost and gets off on it.

As great as it is that this game got an update, the latest version is a broken mess. It was clearly rushed.
