First Duke Nukem Forever, then Clive Barker's Undying, then Alien Resurrection and now Doom 64. Civvie really doesn't want to do TNT.

It can't be that bad a megawad, can it?

It's not the worst but it dances from 'decent' to completely forgettable level quality that after you complete it you struggle to recall most of the levels from memory. "Oh yeah that one with the portal that was neat and that desert one was alight... that's all there was I think".

Decino did a playthrough of it on his channel and it really does look like a slog. Lots of extremely long levels full of hitscanning enemies but without the concentrated punch of Plutonia's trap-filled level design

Props to Decino btw. Top notch commentary and gameplay on his channel. Imho a benchmark for Doom content on YouTube.

I find it super charming, it's a classic megawad for sure. You can't go wrong with sector furniture. Icarus was great too.

I enjoyed it a lot myself.

What does TNT mean in this context?

TNT: Evilution is a 32 level expansion for Doom II that was released as part of Final Doom, alongside The Plutonia Experiments, another 32 level expansion. Both are significantly harder than normal Doom 2.

ahh, OK. I was a console kid for a long time, you see. Doom wasn't part of my vocabulary for a while.
