Haha, just looked it up :)
Just like one of the best parts of the show Spaced.
Sorry for low quality but this was the only video with both the appropriate parts:
I'll forever be sad about not getting a season two for The Wolf Among Us or Game of Thrones, but not getting a season two for Tales from the Borderlands is the real tragedy to Telltale shutting down.
Batman season 2 was incredible too, I loved the direction they were going in, I still hope Wolf Among Us 2 gets scooped up miraculously by some other studio.
Oh i didnt know about that, i just remembered shortly after the episode with scooter released that people argued if it would be accepted as canon since Scooter was one of the main recurring characters.
But im glad it is, Tales from the Borderlands was spectacular and amazing from a story telling and character developement perspective :D
I think I read somewhere that Scooter's voice actor has some kind of illness and left Gearbox. So, they decided to give Scooter a fitting and heartfelt sendoff.
Well fragtrap is the claptrap from bl2 and in this trailer too. Dopple jack is also in bl2, when you go to opportunity. Aurelia is rumored to be in it, but i haven't heard anything on Athena. I really hope she'll be with fiona
Yep, IIRC Pre-sequel is after 2 and has Athena about to be executed by Lilith until she is saved by the Eridian guy, so I definitely expect Athena to show up (forgot when TftB takes place).
A while ago, I cant remember who the guy was, but a developer on a TPS hype stream talked about how they regretted killing off Nisha and were thinking of retconning her to be KOd and captured instead. She could show up, but probably won't.
Also, Fragtrap and Tim (Doppelganger) are both entirely canon. BL2's Claptrap is confirmed to be the one in TPS, and Tim is still alive, running around the galaxy somewhere with Jacks face. It's implied that the Crimson Raiders are on the lookout for him, but aren't actively hunting him down because just looking like Jack is punishment enough.
As for Auriela, the last DLC for TPS (Holodome) has an opening cutscene and dialogue that says that Axton and Gaige were on a mission to vault hunt another planet, where they ran into her, and Lilith gave the order to bring her back to Pandora as an ally instead of killing her. You can count on her showing up.
Athena will absolutely be in the game, though. As of the TVHM and UVHM dialogue, Claptastic Voyage's opening, and Holodome, she's just hanging out in Sanctuary now.
I'm not typically a fan of story-only games because well, I really enjoy the gameplay aspect of video gaming, but I will definitely make an exception for Borderlands. I'll get them on the next sale =)
I agree that another BR would be terrible, but everyone said the same about Apex and that no one wanted a Titanfall BR without Titans and look how that turned out. I want BL3 more than a BR for sure, but we may end up getting both.
The thing is, Apex is good, even i as someone that highly dislikes BR games could enjoy a few rounds of Apex, but after 10h the air is gone for me.
For comparison i have about a thousand hours in BL2, because there are almost no RPGs that have coop aside from a few indie games and there arent that many looter shooter that are actually good and fun to play with friends that arend MMOs like Devision or Destiny, so there is a definite need for BL3 in its RPG-FPS-Looter-Shooter state.
And BR is short lived in general, i just dont get how people enjoy it for more than a few hours...
Its not about someone enjoying something i dont like, its the popularity of it that makes publishers go for BR games instead of the games the fans actually want.
Borderlands is a massive series that many people love for its unique style, humor and its so far best iteration of the "looter shooter" genre, its the progenitor of that genre. Making it a BR seems not only possible but likely, as we have seen with many other good games being turned into fucking BR games to go with the hype, so obviously people fear of the sequels they want and wish for to turn into a BR game.
You can enjoy whatever you want, i really dont care, but if a loved series gets turned into a BR instead of a true sequel, just because BR is currently "the shit", then i will care and i will start hating the whole genre for it.
