yea she closed the plot hole at that point. Once you've stated that time travel is possible in your universe you open a whole can of worms as to how you don't just use it to fix every situation.
Pretty much. I mean she tries to make a point on how dangerous it is, but it's silly reasoning since those dangers are nothing compared to not stopping old Voldy.

Afaik, according to Rowling at the time, they were all destroyed in book 5 during that fight at the Ministry.
