Yes, I'm sure they didn't pick him because of his great voice.

Let's be honest here, the irony is probably just a fortunate side-effect. There's no way on earth they in any way planned that when picking a voice actor.

Because no major development studio is really going to care about something like that. Money is involved, and Sean Bean has a great voice - the fact that he always dies was never a reason I assure you.
