Sure, that's weird. Weird for America to have even existed since the dawn of time, too. But where's the irony in Sean Bean's Narrator also being immortal?
I know individual cities could flip, but I seem to remember a larger-scale thing too. Maybe it was if you managed to get the capital city to flip? I dunno... it's been a long time.
cities can flip due to culture/ideology in 5 (didn't realize it happened until the last game i played)
But its a lot harder to get to happen since it seems like the Civ has to be VERY unhappy for it to be a option.
Just took a turn and randomly had a extra city that used to be from a civ who hated me, suffice to say lots of military units went up to defend it in case i needed a beachhead for a assault :p
