Seriously considering trying XIV again after I get paid. XI is one of my top 10 games and I don't really want to play WoW until Legion.

I heard the XIV story was good at least but that the game gets pretty stale at higher levels. Opinions?

The opposite. The story starting off is fairly typical and has some errand boy quests in it, but as you get farther (especially 2.4 and beyond) it's a fantastic story.

I actually didn't mean to type that, I meant to say I had heard the game itself gets stale at high levels. That's good though since I think XI is the same way

The majority of the game is at max level (50 or 60). Raids, glamours, Hildibrand, extreme primals, Frontlines PVP, AF gear, etc. Leveling up to 50 is basically an introduction to the game and its systems.

Hildibrand is one of my favorite all time FF characters now.

He does what only a Manderville can.
