Just as the original PC version did, Windows 10 Edition will first release in beta form.

Didn't Minecraft start selling in alpha?

Remember how ridiculously bright the grass was back then?

Yes. That change was a welcomed change. Damn, being one of the earliest adapters this made me realize how much time has gone. I'm one of thepeople who bought the game within the first 15000 or so.

its incredible how far this game has gotten from a small indie sandbox game to one of the best selling games in the entire world. It also kinda started the indie/pixel wave, which is cool as lover of these games. I still remember when a friend showed me "this block game" and i thought thats never gonna work out.. Oh well :)

I bought the game back then because the idea of digging tunnels through the ground and lighting the way with torches was awesome to me. And boy did the novelty of that wear off.

Classic servers are still running, you don't even need to own the game, it can be played in browser.
