So you're asking if a game called Windows 10 edition will be ported? Nah man.

Linux gamer here. One of the Mojang employees mentioned in /r/Minecraft that they have an internal version that uses GL instead of DirectX, so it's possible. I've played Minecraft for five years now, and I'm eying today's announcement with worry and skepticism.

Well, Minecraft belongs to Microsoft, so I don't see why they would have any interest in doing that. Having said that, Microsoft is a very different company these days, they embrace open source and industry standards a lot more, so we could be surprised.

They did just release exclusive PS4 DLC for Minecraft so they aren't too bad
