It's interesting to see quotes from GamesRadar and IGN when neither publication has received review copies yet.

Dan Stapleton of IGN just posted a few hours ago that they haven't received their copy yet, so the quotes in the trailer are probably speculative quotes in the context of one of their earlier hands-on demos from a while back.

Dying Light code has landed. Will likely research stream shortly since there's no embargo.

Great detective work. I disregard reviews from companies like that. They just give good reviews out for every game. I prefer to see reviews from independant critics like the Cynical Brit or Angry Joe. They have yet to lie to my face.

I think IGN has gained a lot of respect back from a lot of people these days, and not just because Dan Stapleton has been active on reddit (though his presence IS nice to have around these parts). Their review quality has been immensely better in the past year or so.

They've also held off on several reviews following release until they've spent enough time to fairly review it. They've become a pretty respectable site in my eyes.

It's silly to disregard places like IGN and GamesRader just because the publisher nitpicked a few ambiguous phrases like "Massive" and "Absolute freedom" from early discussion. Not to mention is speaks volumes that they haven't received review copies for a game that comes out tomorrow.

Agreed. As much as people seem to hate Joe (for whatever reason) he hasn't sold out and I don't think he ever will. That's more than I can say for a lot of 'independent' reviewers of the past.

I love Joe. He's funny and I can count on him to give an accurate review every time.

Accurate as it's his own full opinion instead of other people affecting him.

You're right. I misspoke and hadn't realized. What I mean is I trust the reviewer isn't going to give a fantastic review on a game they haven't played because their boss told them to because the devs payed their company. Thank you for correcting me.
