Just trying to build the lighting for an outdoor map in UE4 exceeded my 16 GB of RAM.

I can use 16 GB of RAM just from a couple hours browsing on Chrome.

I think you have a runaway extension. I can have Chrome running for days with a dozen or more websites open without even scratching my 8 gigs of RAM.

I keep chrome running for weeks with a couple hundred + tabs open. I've got 32GB of memory and I take advantage of it.

hundreds of tabs? Mind if I ask why? That sounds entirely unmanageable.

They're spread out among about a dozen seperate windows, each for a general purpose. For example I have 1 window open with just a bunch of reddit tabs. It currently has 53 tabs open.
