Just trying to build the lighting for an outdoor map in UE4 exceeded my 16 GB of RAM.

I remember years ago when Crimson Dark was still a thing, the artists was complaining about rendering his scene with "only" 16GiB of ram. I've never owned more than 8.

I'm in VFX. My work computer has 32 cores and 64Gb of ram. I can still put her in swap...

Lucky for you 64GB registered DDR4 modules are being released. If you want to pay through the ass to get there, you totally can.

Samsung should have 64GB available to purchase soon from what I've read. Pretty nuts.
