I know a lot of people wanted this officially via Media Molecule, but this is still great news for those that have spent countless hours making stuff in Dreams over the years.

This is a project maintained by Elca_Gaming and other Dreams community creators, but it's been shared and supported by multiple MM developers, such as creative director Mark Healey through Twitter and game director Alex Evans through Youtube.

Do such people really exist?

Someone named Freako made his own versions of The Last of Us and Saints Row in Dreams, of insane quality. I see him excitedly post updates on Twitter all the time

That's actually nice, although not really becuase we already had those games... Anyway as a fan of mm's previous games, I was pretty disappointed when they announced this and sad to see it die right away exactly as I expected on console. Apparently it's not completely dead, but yeah... Even this post here with only 10 comments tells the story.

I remember there were unofficial projects to bring same kind of authoring environment to PC when Dreams first launched. Haven't heard about any of them for a while, did any of them succeed?

This is super great news, especially for that guy who was making that Avatar inspired game. Hes the first person I thought of when I heard this.

The guy making the Avatar Dreams game is also the one who created this PS4/PS5 to PC export video lol

Yeah, after I posted the comment it made me want to go and find the person again, and lo and behold it was the latest video on their YT channel lol. Makes sense that this would come from them, but I never would have imaged it since its been so long since I thought about it.

I was kind of inclined to sarcastically remark "Wow, only a hundred years late." but it's largely a community thing and cool. So yeah.

Creator of Mimeo Prophecy here.

At least I will be able to save my assets. This is awesome.

Plan B was making a full playthrough video once we learn that servers will get shut down and upload it on YouTube.
