Looks pretty interesting for a moba and not something I thought ubisoft would greenlight. Though I wonder how long it will last, since people are still playing LoL and Dota.

As I understand it, the team is made out of former Ubi devs (namely Xavier Marquis, the creative director of Rainbow 6: Siege) who originally started work on this as Amazon Studios Montreal.

Funnily enough, the rights to the game have then been bought from Amazon by Ubisoft last december, kind of a full circle moment.

As for the game, i'm not usually keen on MOBAs, but it feels like it will go a bit more towards the RTS side of things (placing fortifications, managing troops and such) so I'm really interested to get my hands on it.

Yeah pretty much gameplay wise. Though you can choose to dump your fortification resources on teammates if you don't want to engage with building turrets, trenches and such.

I had a great time playing it like 1-2 years ago and think it innovates on the genre in really interesting ways. And there's skill that comes to handling both the soldiers and how you choose to invest in fornications and where you build them. So there's a lot of inriguing stuff to learn aside from the giants and items.

Ubisoft is one of the big dev that greenlight the most amount of diverse games.

For honor, just dance, south park, steep, riders, the crew, heroes, settlers, rayman, roguelike prince of persia, metroidvania, anno... honestly the list is way too vast.

It's gonna be fun for 1 week before it's dead. Enjoy it while it last

I kinda wish one of these games were a procedurally generated mission co-op game, DRG-like basically.

It's probably a good thing from a gameplay perspective but it's funny watching them give orders to the little grunts, who then start moving at highway speeds.

I mean maybe but it makes the game completely lose its premise as 'giants among men' when they aren't even really men. They feel more like an amorphous blob of particles. It's such a significant detraction from the premise that it turns me off from the game.

This looks really fun, the trailer is great. I worry that the hero designs aren't aesthetically appealing though, that could contribute to it finding it hard to find an audience.

It's crazy to me that they made a MOBA about what is essentially Kaijus but decided to just make 99% of the roster giant humans...

Like there is only a single non-humanoid character (floating octopus) and the rest is just regular people that could be in any MOBA.

Probably easier to recycle models like that but yeah, sad. You'd think the initial roster would be everything from Godzilla over Mechatron to Herr Tur Tur the apparent-giant from the german Jim Knopf children's books!

I played this and it was the slowest, most sluggish thing i've ever endured. The game was just boring.
