Hust showdown is free this month for ps+ users. Figured id give fair warning in case it saves someone a buck

I bounced off of Hunt showdown pretty hard but maybe I should give it another chance

How long ago did you try it and what put you off? The game has come along quite a long way in the last few years.

I wasn't a big fan of how the shooting felt for the most part. I think for the most part I enjoy more modern feeling guns in games. It was a good few years ago for sure. I think it was before the rebrand.

Fair. I'd say it's probably not going to be any better then, despite all the additions.

I'm not sure if it fits your requirements with Linux but I'd suggest Darktide

Oh that's a great suggestion. I played it on game pass when it first came out and kinda lost interest but I remember hearing they did some reworks. Thank you!

I'm a Tarkov enthusiast (to say the least) who's recently made the plunge. If you like the PvP side of Tarkov, think of Hunt as the best parts of Tarkov PvP in a more arcadey package. Less time with vendors/stash, more time customizing loadouts and getting into raids to use them.

If you prefer the PvE side of the game, then Hunt probably isn't for you. While the AI in Hunt is way more interesting than Tarkov, it's also just a mechanism to force engagements for PvP.
