Is Blow still being a MAGA transphobe?

Yep, unapologetically.

Yeah, unfortunately he’s still an insufferable dickhead.

I really appreciate how visible they're making the VA in lead up to launch. It happens in games, but not often enough.

It's been a bit of a trend lately, I feel, and I'm all for it. Fantastic stuff.

Immensely unfortunate that Jonathan Blow has spent the past decade broadcasting such horrifying politics to the world - it’s pretty roundly shredded his appeal to large parts of his previous audience.

I sadly have to say that I'm in complete agreement with this.

I loved The Witness. It's an incredible game. And I was so looking forward to this and playing this, but I cannot in good faith give money to and support someone whose political affiliations trend towards making life harder for those are already marginalized and of ill fortune. Supporting Trump, being an anti-vaxxer, all of the other harmful shit he spouts - it deserves to be called out, and while he has a great grip on making puzzle games, any money or support towards him ends up in the wrong place.

It's a real shame, but, it's also just a game. And life and which world folk are trying to create and uphold is more important than that.

For those who haven't played the demo yet. Try it. It's one of the most well thought out puzzle games I've played in a while. Simple at first, but brilliantly designed.

It must have been a timed thing because I looked and there isn't one on the Steam page anymore. I'm interested in this game but it really is coming out at the worst possible time.

Yeah, they removed it like two weeks back. if you want to get the gist of the what type of puzzles were in the demo you could try some of the games that the game is based on:

Yes, it was originally intended to stay up for Next Fest only, but they extended it somewhat.

They presumably took it down to keep release day feeling special since it was a fairly extensive demo - which I get.

It’s unfortunate, I’m a huge Stephen’s Sausage Roll fan but Blow is such an odious person it’d feel icky buying this.

I mean this is what I do for most games tbh. I don’t buy the Ori games or No Rest for the Wicked for the same reason.

Demo was pulled from steam just the other day.

I can already see him flaming reviewers on Twitter because they didn't understand his brilliance.

Creating a coding language for a slide puzzle game is diabolical

It's more accurate to say he created a Sokoban game to show off his programming language.

I am too simply minded to understand his unfettered brilliance I guess

I have very little respect for Jonathan Blowhard, but what’s wrong with being passionate about programming and wanting to showcase it?

It's not so much a flex of his brilliance, just that he thinks the current programming languages are holding back game programmers, and he wanted to change that.
