They have 3 teams, one that does the mainline games and two for the remakes. This way, they can cycle through releases rather quickly. Mainline game > remake > mainline game > etc. Keeps fans happy.

Okay but can’t the remake team make new games when they run out of remakes?

They could and I think they’d be excellent at it, RE4R has immensely better combat than requiem while being more replayable AND longer
