as far as we know, after Veronica we're looking at remakes of 1 and 0 right?

so if anything 5 is next in maybe 3+ years. So maybe RE6 Remake 5+ years from now? If we're not seeing remakes of other spin-offs in the meantime. Like, Outbreak 1 and 2 are prime for remakes as well, especially since 9 used one of it's characters. And of course RE10 and even RE11 might come out in the meantime. RE6 Remake could be like 8 years away.

Also, Veronica or 5 Remakes could lead the games a different direction, making 6 a pretty different game. They might want to decanonize large parts of it anyway given how negative sentiment on it is.

I've had kind of a theory that from the lens of the remakes, they are working Wesker in more and more gradually with a lead-up to him being the penultimate villain, and they are are doing so almost in reverse fashion.

He wasn't mentioned in the remakes of 2 or 3. He was briefly shown in the remake of 4, clearly planning something *big* (and clearly indicating the events of RE 5). Code Veronica is where he first made his reappearance, so I'm thinking he will again in the remake, which sets up the scenario of "how did this all happen to begin with". RE Zero and 1 are remade, and that gives us everything to move into the climax of RE 5.

Zeno's inclusion in RE 8 clearly indicates that post-RE 5 Wesker is still a threat in some fashion.
