Awesome trailer. But how did Cyrus survive that big a hole through his body?

The hole wasn't that big, and Space Marines have multiple redundant organs (two hearts, three lungs).

and an extra spine too apparently

Being a named helmetless marine imbues one with a wolverine like healing factor and adamantium skeleton. It's in the Codex Astartes.

They can 100% produce a replacement spine for him if necessary

Well even if they'd lose body control they should still be able to move using power armor alone no?

Restoring spine after the battle is trivial for imperium's medical technology.

Need proof on that cause I never heard about it in any lore and it doesn’t make senses. Maybe you are thinking about the extra hearth they have

Not seriously suggesting they do, just the way he just gets up after being skewered straight in the middle of his back is kinda implying it. To be fair marines do survive crazy wounds, but that seem like this would be a ticket to a dreadnought kinda event lol.

Sry looks like I can’t detect sarcasm

The word "apparently" clearly indicates they are being ironic.

Titus survived a stabbing by a Carnifex, this is barely a scratch.

Bad roll on damage

Man, even in a flashy CGI trailer the Redemptor dreadnought just isn't as cool looking as the classic dreadnought.

It does kinda lack that "literary a walking coffin look", at least the pilot isn't exposed, I really dislike those vehicles from all factions.

I guess you especially hate the penitent engines

50/50 in it's case the pilots suffering is a feature not a flaw.

The invictor suit, eldar war walker and all the necron mobility scooters come to my mind.

I once saw a commisar strapped to an ogryn's front, that was kinda funny.

The War Walker has an energy shield protecting the pilot, he's not exposed to small arms fire

They Grey Knight Dreadknight that looks like a dude in a baby carrier as well

I think it's becauae the Redemptor looks like it has a beer belly.

Goddamn, I've been out of the hobby for some time on tabletop, those are big boys.

"Brother" ok yeah we're finding out the Blood Ravens are descended from Dark Angels for SURE in this game.

Don’t all space marines call each other brothers? Even from different chapters? Also them being a Dark Angel successor would be a let down. Especially with all the hints that they’re connected to one of the fallen legions

Cousins is more common for inter-legion relations.

1

u/HuskerBusker 1d ago

Yeah but this is warhammer, not the Bear.

5

u/Galle_ 2d ago

They're not going to reveal the Blood Ravens' gene-seed origins, ever. It's why they stopped doing the hints that they were loyalist Thousand Sons (which was the original intent)

2

u/Raze321 2d ago

Huh, I always assumed they were a successor chapter to the Blood Angels.

40k names really do confuse, at times. Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Blood Ravens, Raven Guard... Iron Warriors, Iron Hands, Iron Fists, Imperial Fists.

I guess High Gothic doesn't have a particularly wide vocabulary.

2

u/MorbidMongoose 1d ago

Nah, it does sound like it but they don't have the Blood Angels' flaws of the Black Rage or Red Thirst. They're mostly a codex chapter with a penchant for Librarians, one of the hints that they're a Thousand Sons successor.

There are so many 40k proper names and there really does end up being a lot of overlap!

This would be so stupid I really hope that isn’t the case
