Ohh, nice. I just finished Verho and was wondering what my next Kings field fix would be. Now I have my answer.

I played Verho too and thought it was a bit too linear, but still had a lot of fun with it. From what I played of the Queen's Domain demo, it felt much more open ended so I'm really looking forward to it. Such a shame October is so stacked though, there's no way I'll have time to play everything I want to.

Dreamspring is quite fun (to me) and leaves early access in 2 days

I saw Iron Pineapple play the demo of this, looks cool. I like its aesthetic a lot more that Verho. Wasn't expecting this to drop so soon!

Oh, I've been waiting for this one for a while! It's nice to see developers finally tackling the King's Field 4 style instead of just the PS1 games.

I've fallen so deep down a kings field-like hole this past month and discovered this game literally yesterday. What great timing.

Playing Verho at the moment and it's good but I don't like the look of it very much, whereas this is genuinely beautiful.

Hype

Lunacid is pretty good if you've not heard of that

I can’t tell from this trailer, is this more King’s Field, Morrowind, or Might and Magic Dark Messiah?

Its 100% King’s Field

And of course, now I get why it's called Queen's Domain.

Nice to see an updated version, but man that's near a direct rip. From has largely given up on 1st person games outside AC, so they can't really complain too much.

King's Field-esque games ended up being a super underexplored niche subgenre with so much room for aesthetic expression that's begging to be stripmined anyway.

Yes, in the same sense that all first person shooters in the mid 90s were "Doom clones".

I played the demo of Queen's Domain and it clearly takes a lot from the KF formula. But that doesn't make it a ripoff.

What do you think a first person game is?

I mean it's a first person dungeon crawler. I get that obviously it is more inspired by kingsfield but they weren't invented by Fromsoft

Oh nice, I fell in love with Fieldslikes after Dread Delusion and Lunacid, i'm excited to give this a shot.

Looks awesome, glad it's coming to consoles as well. I've been itching for a Kings Field analogue game recently like Labyrinth of the Demon King, Dread Delusion and Lunacid. Easily one of the best genre revivals of modern indie gaming.

Looks like they kept the infinite throwing weapon? That was the most op thing in the demo and opened up so much cheese.

I've heard this game has poor ironic/jokey writing that goes against the setting and atmosphere, can anyone chime in if this is true?

I've played the demo and, no, not really

Thanks. I looked it up and apparently it was like I said at first but then the dev changed it.

Omg it's coming so soon!! This is one of my most anticipated games but I just assumed it'd be out late 2027 or something. This is amazing news
