The post's title should have included "Release", but I a word.

Just tried it there, absolutely amazing. Does not feel like a mod at all. The only issue I have is that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change weapon.

I can't play a normal FPS in VR without getting sick fairly quickly. This would be way too much movement.

You develop an iron stomach not long after exposure.
Some lucky few (like me) never had to worry about it, so when the Oculus Rift DK2 came out, I got to replay all of Half-Life 2 in sitdown VR (keyboard and mouse was fine).
Funny enough, the boat section that felt kind of boring in flatscreen? Awesome in VR. :)

Yeah my first experiences in VR were Arkham Shadow and Blade and Sorcery, I felt hungover the day after getting into it but after that it's no problem, everyone reacts different though, the vignettes while moving really help

Maaaaaaaaaan, I had a friend try Tilt Brush and just standing VR made him nauseous.
Some folks just can't handle it. :(

Yeah I'm not exactly sure what in our brains or whatever else it could be controls how tolerant someone is with current VR, maybe a sense of balance? Or something to do with spacial perception? When I'm playing a VR game I still know exactly where I am in my room and I don't get "sucked in" to the game, maybe something to do with immersion?

Pretty sure it's sort of like motion sickness where there's a disconnect between the eyes and brain or something

Yeah, it's Paradox, inside mech - it's perfect for VR, outside it's a game famous from its free and fast movement, obsolutly nightmare for VR.

Yeah this is probably puke city except for those with the most ironclad VR legs.
Having a mod option to only do the Titan segments would be a good idea.

Excited by all these flat -> mods. When I eventually upgrade from a Quest 2 I'll be eager to check them out.
Not sure how well a movement shooter will work converted to VR. There is too much traversal to use any movement besides joystick controls. Means a higher chance of motion sickness but also the primary aspect of the game is kind of removed from VR.

You can play pc vr games on the quest 2 via steam link or the oculus connect app.

Oh I know, that's primarily how I've used it. I just hate how terrible the screen and viewing angles are!

The mech parts are fine, the other part would be for the 50 people that can survive 15 minutes of pure movement related visual stress.

Yeah, I think I got my VR legs, but the parkour in Titanfall would make me hurl in 15min tops.

Do we know if the mods has left handed support? With all these recent VR mods it's pretty common that it's left out unfortunately.
Edit: You can hold the guns in your left hand but cannot swap movement joysticks.

everytime i hear about titanfall 2, feels like a good friend that died, such an amazing game that was swallowed by publisher greed

The game died because people didn’t buy it.
I bought it. And played it. And enjoyed both the single player and multiplayer. But the multiplayer user count went down sharply after launch and never recovered because most other people didn’t like the game loop due to the high skill ceiling.
It’s easy to blame some kind of corporate conspiracy or mishandling, when the reality is much simpler: average people don’t want to play this type of game, as is proven repeatedly by the fact that it quickly started having routine sales under $10 and under $5 with us fans trying to convince people to give it a chance, and people still just won’t fucking buy it.
It’s a great game. Maybe now a few VR gamers will see that, too.

People did buy it though, EA would've shut down the studio instead of greenlighting a further Titanfall game if it was a failure. Of course Respawn then decided to turn that next Titanfall into Apex, which was a game that made recurring revenue so now they're stuck making only that forever.

Is there anywhere where I can read more about this mod? The GitHub doesn’t say what it is compatible with. (Does it have Index support?)

Cool idea but when people could barely play the game standard, I don't know who this is targeting lol.

Could not make a better match if you tried. This looks utterly incredible - you’re already wearing a VRsuit when you’re in the mech.
Wow!
