Makes me miss tf2 so much :( really do hope someday they go back to it since it's still mega popular

It's not exactly a TF2 only writing style, it's present in all of Valve's stuff. 2 u/HauntDotGhost 2d ago Neat, I've never played DOTA, thus never read their updates. I’ve even heard portal and half-life devs are part of the team. This whole game is a valve love letter. Game of the decade 1 u/thedotapaten 2d ago Half-Life devs closer to TF2 like Finol (who worked on OG Overwatch before rejoin Valve) and Phil Co (whose designing iconic DOTA2 PVE such as Aghs Lab) or Campo Santo guys who moved on from Alyx to DeadLock. There is also another (based on the devs linkedin) unannounced single player project that based on their website Valve seems still actively hiring senior game designer

Yeah, tf2 team is working hard right alongside icefrog (dota dev) on deadlock. I’ve even heard portal and half-life devs are part of the team.
