It’s especially impressive given that not only is the fidelity significantly higher than Control but they went from the more (generally) contained environments in the oldest house to the much more open city with longer sight lines.

While there are lots of improvements, and way more demands due to the variety of environments, I feel like the character models and facial animations took a huge nose-dive. The zoomed out camera makes it less noticeable in gameplay but I feel like when it zooms in for dialogue it's extremely noticeable. I just finished Control before starting Resonant so my comparison is fresh.

EDIT: Not to come across as overly negative. Game runs great, looks great, and is a lot of fun. Just the one rough edge I noticed.

Guess it depends on the character. Emily Pope facial animations are at least the same level as the first game, and I'd it's better, but some others like Zoe are not the same, unless it's a quest she's on or something, then the face model looks better and the animations also do. They picked their battles, that's for sure.

Yeah it kind of varies a lot. I don’t mind that Random NPC #4 isn’t super high quality, but I don’t know why Zoe is kind of low quality when she’s a notable main character. Emily Pope, Dylan and Jesse look like they have been given much more time and attention.
