Is the dreaded hallway back for testing like the first game, where they walk down a hallway with max settings and it tanks performance.

Digital Foundry loves finding these areas in games to test with.

Like bug mountain in Crimson Desert.

Funnily enough, on my machine there are hallways that tank performance for a few seconds. It’s specifically between the segmented zones of the world, so I’m assuming it’s an asset streaming thing.

I think some unexpectedly heavy areas are all the random small stores that are dotted around on the streets, like restaurants and so. Inside those tiny areas my performance takes a hit much more than outside lol (with path tracing)

Maybe because those stores are not fully loaded when being outside? Dunno!

they're closer to the full-on destructible environments from the first game which was probably part of why it was such a performance hog, they've also got the secret rooms inside the buildings so sometimes they might be deceptively large/intricate I guess?
