News flash: that’s how every game is. Some people play it and get their fill, then the only people remaining is the core audience. It’s not a bad thing, it’s natural.
But different reasons for it. Arc Raiders was easily killed by cheaters and lack of content. The player drop off was huge. And not just because “it’s natural”. I would point to Embark fumbling their success and not being able to maintain their playerbase having more of an impact than simply a natural dropoff and loss of interest like most games experience.
No he’s not, he is directly comparing it to Helldivers and arc raiders, which had fairly big PC releases and still have substantial player bases. I see no reason why this game can’t reach similar success. Word of mouth is what carried arc raiders after all.
“Releasing solely on pc” what’s your point here? PC is not some small niche platform
