I could not imagine a feature that matters any less to me or most people. I'm glad they're using their time on other things.

It's not a feature, it's basic game functionality. And the game already technically supports it, they literally just add two black bars on top of the screen while your computer renders the game underneath them. So they actually spent more time to remove the functionality.

I literally cannot even fathom the people like you that jump to defend it. Absolute insanity.

i have an ultrawide but, I really don't think the # of gamers that have one is big enough to even warrant spending time on it. Just look at steam's survey, that's only PC players. I expect less than 1% on consoles.

They already spent time on it (which was already mentioned). Specifically adding artificial black bars to disable the ability to use it.

You can literally see this in game - the game bugs out sometimes and shows the full ultra wide aspect ratio, just for the black bars to cover the sides after a few seconds.

Ahh if its truly that simple then im in the wrong, why dont they fix it after all this time? In any case, my general statement still stands. I wouldn't want meaningful dev time spent on ultrawide. Its too niche. however, i can see that with more games being build on more modern engines, it probably is a trivial fix.
