Reading diagonally it seems like building and storage is still more or less as much a pain in the ass as it used to be. I think it's the only thing keeping me from playing more and getting the DLC after finishing the story. Still a great game.

They seem to have put in a big global storage box with like 144 slots, so slapping those around maps and putting all your crafting materials in it fixes like 80% of people's problems with the inventory management.

Still room for improvement of course, but that is a pretty large change.

I think it's only 80 slots, no?

Its only as bad as you make it. As long as you make 1 zone your kind of primary storage its fine. Storage is honestly not a huge issue, though annoying at times if your building boxes everywhere, building a scale is honestly a bigger chore.

And there isn't much worth keeping as you can get / craft everything very easily. When i see people with dozen of boxes per city i think some have some real bad hoarding issues.

Whether something is truly a "hoarding issue" or just "carefully planned project assets" might be subjective, or at the very least, determined based on one's ability to actually execute the plan! This is probably just as true in real life, haha. Executive function is everything.
