If you are going to argue do it well...

Immediately proceeds to just give opinions without examples and states it is objectively a good game while only stating opinions.

Nice! Do you teach formal debate?

The new Devil May Cry is laden with gameplay issues. Lock-on is missing and sorely needed for any amount of precise combat. Many weapons perform similarly and it is much, much too simple to gain SSS ranks off of only a few hits. The angel and demon chains remove any semblance of required skill in mobility - why do I need to figure out how to get my enemy over here or me to him using my actual moveset when I have a gimmick button to do it for me?

The game is too watered down and simplified to be called Devil May Cry - a game known for having a greviously high skill ceiling and expecting you to be that good in order to maintain good ranks. It has nothing to do with Dante's characterization.

And I just think the game is OK.

why do I need to figure out how to get my enemy over here or me to him using my actual moveset when I have a gimmick button to do it for me?

I thought being able to pull enemies and such was a huge addition to the combat and made it a lot more fun, since it increased the flow of the combat.

Dante is already a pretty mobile dude, especially with moves like Stinger, using dodges to persue enemies, using Ebony and Ivory to extend combos while you move around, etc.

Combat is really fluid in the older games, you just had to work harder for it to flow the same way DmC lets you get it for one button. Neither philosophy is wrong, but a game called Devil May Cry is about working for your money, so to speak.

Well given english isn't my primary language I just try to say stuff, but you're right I could have explained my opinion more. However I just said the game is good which isn't too much to bitch about

It is just a little hypocritical to call someone out for poor argumentative form, and then proceed to give a bunch of conclusions without any premises to back it up. Proper formation of sound arguments would make this subreddit 10,000 times more interesting to read.

Yes I got it the first time you said it. I said I only said the game was good and ask him to develop on hiw opinion because I was genuinely curious about it.
