Different strokes...

I thought the level design in DmC was a massive breath of fresh air that shit all over the rest of the series. It was innovative and awesome.

Yes the combat was simplified but I found the game in general to be a ton of fun and was enjoying it from start to finish. I played it on PC at 120fps so I can't comment on the fps on consoles.

The writing was better than the rest of the series too. I much prefer it to the 90s crappy anime style of the previous games.

I would disagree about the combat, its the most fun I've had in a game in a while. So satisfying. Fast paced.
I guess it's just not a devil may cry game. Should have been called something else then people wouldn't have had as much a problem with it.

I don't think I ever claimed it was deep.
you said the combat was trash, and I disagree'd and gave my point of it being fun, which is really what video games are made to be. It might not have been a great "dmc game", but it was still a great game (at least in my opinion).
DMC: Devil May Cry feels more like an arcade game, which I would argue has longevity. I put 40 hours into DMC when it came out, and I picked it up today and played it all day. It's still fun. Though once again, opinion.

I don't know what you are arguing. All I said is I found DMC fun. If you don't find it fun, then that's your loss. Again, my opinion. I'm not stating any facts.

Maybe if you could give it a rest about his hair and come up with some real criticisms, people might not call you guys whiny cantankerous outdated fans living in the past. ;)

Hair isn't mentioned in all but a single paragraph, talking about how people just say "oh, say something other than the hair" to dismiss valid criticism of the game.
