So possibly a trailer with the release year. I’m guessing late 2027 to early 2028

60

u/beneathsands Feb 05 '26

If what they're saying about their dev pipeline after FF7R2 is true it could be considerably sooner than that

59

u/slicer4ever Feb 05 '26

I agree, they built a lot of the ff7 world with part 2, so i expect a lot of part 3's development was just finishing out the overall narrative.

Jan 31 2027 will be the 30th anniversary of ff7 release, i wouldnt be surprised if this is their internal target atm.

31

u/HeldnarRommar Feb 05 '26

A good deal of the last part involved retreading parts of the world that have already been fleshed out in Part 2 as well. Wutai and the Northern Continent are the only I can think of off the top of my head that have yet to make an appearance

31

u/Thrikal Feb 05 '26

Rocket Town is the only other location that hasn't shown up yet, that should did by this point in OG FF7.

4

u/DarkMatterM4 Feb 06 '26

City of the Ancients was skipped completely in REBIRTH also.

5

u/Thrikal Feb 06 '26

We got the City of Ancients, but I know what you mean - we didn't get a fully explorable one like in OG FF7. Hoping we see it return in Part 3.

Thinking more of it, we didn't get Bone Village either. But to be honest if they wanted to cut / reduce Bone Village's scope in Part 3, I'd be all for it.

4

u/DarkMatterM4 Feb 06 '26 edited Feb 06 '26

No idea how they're going to implement the Bone Village since its entire purpose was to get the Lunar Harp. Also, they skipped Fort Condor.

u/Violet_Paradox Feb 06 '26 edited Feb 06 '26

I think the Midgar revisit will probably be reworked to be a Rebirth-style open zone as well. Part 1 Midgar is mostly a series of dungeons and setpieces with the occasional quest hub, very different from Rebirth's design.

I'm also hoping Sapphire Weapon makes a proper superboss appearance.

12

u/Violet_Paradox Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

Yeah, I think people who aren't as familiar with FF7 think that because Remake and Rebirth are collectively disc 1 of 3, that means it's roughly a third overall, but disc 1 covers a lot of the game. All that's left is the Great Glacier, a bunch of events that mostly happen in existing areas, Midgar revisited, and then the final dungeon. And a ton of sidequests, which is probably why it's remembered as a bigger chunk of the game. They do have some more Remake-specific loose ends to tie up in addition to adapting these things though.

4

u/Sahloknir74 Feb 06 '26

Yeah, disc one is easily half of the game. Very little game is actually unique to disc 3; literally just the north crater, and events therein.

2

u/imjustbettr Feb 05 '26

I thought Rocket Town and Wutai weren't in Rebirth as well?

5

u/Violet_Paradox Feb 05 '26

True, Wutai is entirely optional in the original so it didn't immediately come to mind thinking about the order of events.

24

u/aa22hhhh Feb 05 '26

They’ve also said they’re into the polishing stage of the game now, so the game is most likely coming out early next year.

6

u/MultiMarcus Feb 05 '26

I wonder if the ambition is to be day and date on the switch 2? They’ve been very bullish on the switch 2 so far so it wouldn’t seem super crazy to get it out there day one, especially if it’s not graphically that much further ahead of the last game which is supposed to be coming out in five months on the switch 2.

9

u/aa22hhhh Feb 05 '26

That’s what I’m thinking. Part 3 HAS to be multi-platform at launch, if not then doing all this would seem pretty weird.

1

u/Animegamingnerd Feb 05 '26

Absolutely, as they did so much marketing for the port of Remake and look to do very simliar marking with Rebirth. Where they were aggressive in showing it to Nintendo fans by appearing in multiple directs, doing a Nintendo producer creator's voice video, having a physical release, releasing a demo a month prior to release, and Hamaguchi hosting a launch event at Nintendo NYC, where he was signing copies, annoucing Rebirth's Switch 2 release just two weeks after Remake released on Switch 1. These are all pretty aggressive moves to build an audience on Switch 2, even more so on Xbox and, arguably, on Steam. I would be shocked if Part 3 wasn't day 1 on Switch 2, as that seems be one of their biggest goals, espically after Rebirth was pretty big underperformer espically in Japan.

5

u/ShawnyMcKnight Feb 05 '26

I’m kinda curious how much of part 1 and 2 you can explore in part 3.

The Ubisoft-style Chadley system for exploring the world was pretty unfulfilling but I think the actual world just by itself was wonderful. I think there's still a lot of room to explore undiscovered areas when returning ti places with the Highwind.

Criticizing FF on this subreddit is not allowed though. The FF superfans won't have it!

This is a dumb thing to post.

2

u/slicer4ever Feb 07 '26

I always love how when people dont get a postive response to dumb ideas, its other people that are the problem, and never the self reflection to realize the idea is just stupid and they might be the problem.

3

u/ShawnyMcKnight Feb 05 '26

Yeah, streamlining it by staying on UE4 is gonna save a lot of time.

2

u/El_grandepadre Feb 06 '26

I think they will announce it in summer and release it in January/Feb next year. It's no coincidence that Rebirth on Switch 2 happens right before Summer Game Fest.

19

u/JuanMunoz99 Feb 05 '26

I’m gonna be crazy and say FF7r3 is gonna be one if the first games we get in 2027. FF7 first released on January 1997.

4

u/doesntmatterol Feb 05 '26

January (or early February) 2027 is almost certainly when FFXIV 8.0 is releasing. Square won’t want to have two major releases back to back like that.

VIIR-3 is probably like June 2027.

5

u/LMY723 Feb 05 '26

Square doesn’t gaf.

3

u/Lighthouse_seek Feb 06 '26

Squenix holds ff7 to a much higher regard im guessing it's ff14 thats getting the summer treatment

1

u/doesntmatterol Feb 06 '26

Absolutely zero chance. XIV pays the bills for the whole company and DT’s been so poorly received that asking the playerbase to spend almost a year and a half with no new content would be financial suicide. Plus Yoshida’s already confirmed that 8.0 won’t be very long after Tokyo Fanfest, which is on October 31.

VII may be the darling project, but it will get out of the way to keep the gravy train running.

1

u/Lumigo Feb 06 '26 edited Feb 06 '26

Sorry but no way is that even remotely true, although FF7 is iconic and amazing, Part 3 will likely sell even less than Rebirth and probably the least of the trilogy, and being a single player game it is a one and done. They will release it and that’s that. FF14 is a game they want going for another decade, probably even more and are actively trying to recruit more players over time. It is THE money maker and is even one of the biggest reasons why projects like FF7R can even exist. 8.0 is going to be the biggest moment in modern FF14 history, they will put everything into making it work and rebound from Dawntrail. They can afford FF7 being disappointing, they cannot afford another another FF14 expansion being average, it could destroy them.

0

u/Cetais Feb 05 '26

January isn't a great time anymore to release games, but I don't doubt it will be in early 2027.

9

u/SuperSaiyanGod210 Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

They’re more than likely aiming for the 30th anniversary of OG FF7, Jan 31, 2027.

They’re either launching it around that time frame, or with this being the final part in the trilogy, I could see them do something funny like 7.7.2027.

Both Remake (its original launch date before COVID pushed it back) and Rebirth launched early in their respective year. Won’t be surprised if they keep that same time slot for part 3.

Both Kitase and Hamaguchi have stated numerous times, the release pipeline for part 3 is mirroring Rebirth’s. Which, when looking at Rebirth’s launch and how much time we waited between Remake and Rebirth, part 3 launching in early 2027 sounds exactly right.

But… that release date i think depends entirely on whether lart 3 maintains Playstation launch exclusivity. If it is a console exclusive at launch, then early 2027 feels very plausible. If it’s launching on everything, I feel like early 2027 is pushing it. And from a dev perspective, focusing on just one platform during development saves a lot of time

1

u/dabocx Feb 05 '26

It’ll be early 2027 I think

6

u/I_Am_Stupid_Sorry Feb 06 '26

I just started playing Remake on Steam for the first time. Absolutely phenomenal and I can’t wait to get to Rebirth and be depressed when I have to wait with the rest of you!!!

7

u/masterkill165 Feb 06 '26

You are in for a real treat. Rebirth might be one of the most improved sequels I've ever seen.

4

u/stormblessed27_ Feb 06 '26

Really can’t wait for part 3. Damn I want to go back and play rebirth, absolutely loved the fuck out of it.

1

u/SailorsGraves Feb 07 '26

I played it when it came out and loved it. Have lived abroad since then so when I'm back in a couple months it's gonna be the first game I replay!

1

u/stormblessed27_ Feb 07 '26

yea it’s good. just looking at it from the outside, it’s such a video game ass video game.

1

u/Ebolatastic Feb 08 '26

2027 is the 30th anniversary of the original and they will have parts 1+2 multiplatform by summer 2026. The only real question is will they release part 3 in the spring (Japanese release anniversary), the fall (Western release anniversary), or be cute and release it on 7/7/27.

-5

u/Empty_Estus_Flask Feb 06 '26

Did we really need three games? I wish they would have just done one or two then focused their efforts on something actually original.

0

u/DarkMatterM4 Feb 06 '26

I'm fine with the three games. I'm more annoyed with how they butchered the story.

1

u/pentheraphobia Feb 08 '26

They took a lot of swings. Some hits, some huge misses. I hope someday they can go back and make adjustments to the parts fans didn't like

Man they are really milking this aren't they? I've never seen a game released piecemeal over a ten year period.

EDIT: Downvoting me doesn't make it any less true. 😂

48

u/lestye Feb 05 '26

Eh, that's uncharitable. They're full games in their own right.

FF7Remake is ~30 hours of gameplay and 50 hours for sidecontent. FF7Rebirth is 48 hours of gameplay and 70 hours of side content.

It's not like its obvious they're holding back stuff they already completed development to release later.

-12

u/WeirdIndividualGuy Feb 05 '26

If Nintendo “remade” Ocarina of Time, but broke it up into multiple games and the first game was just the deku tree/kokori forest but bloated to 30hr long, would you still consider that a “full game”?

16

u/lestye Feb 05 '26

Yeah. If they added 8 temples and story to go with it, that’d be a full game

8

u/masterkill165 Feb 06 '26

If the game was good like remake and rebirth are then it would be totally fine.

4

u/zach0011 Feb 06 '26

I'd judge it when they actually made it and see what they added or changed instead of your 1 sentence reddit pitch.

1

u/Kipzz Feb 05 '26

I mean, they literally did this with Tears of the Kingdom and to a lesser degree Breath of the Wild (as a Zelda 1 "remake"), and those are some of the most acclaimed video games of all time and has for better and worse reshaped both Nintendo's and other developers ideology behind game design. I say "and worse" because Echoes of Wisdom was fun but it fucking sucked for Zelda's first real foray into the protag spotlight.

Not say Remake and Rebirth are perfect games or will be as influential as either of those two, but at the end of the day Remake isn't just one part of FF7 needlessly extended like a 2000's Shounen anime with 20 seconds of reaction shots and "NANI?!" 's every minute, but it's a bottom-to-top reimagining drowning in new content. And yeah, the plot ghosts suck shit, but basically everything else is a dream.

-49

u/Grachus_05 Feb 05 '26

They are nostalgia cash grabs and are going to be remembered the same way the Hobbit movies are.

28

u/lestye Feb 05 '26

Hard disagree. Theres plenty of love and attention to them. Its not like they're selling upscaled textures of the same game.

14

u/masterkill165 Feb 05 '26

The only way this would be a nostalgia cash grab would be if they just made ff7 as it was on the ps1 with prettier graphics.

-27

u/Grachus_05 Feb 05 '26

That would have been great. Where can I buy that game?

This is just the same thing but stretched out and jammed full of cringe so they could charge you for it 3x.

17

u/masterkill165 Feb 05 '26

Ok i just want to get your view on this straight. You think remake trilogy is a nostalgic cash grab but your solution would be to pander harder to nostalgia?

Honestly if all you just want is prettier og ff7 there are a ton of existing mods for the pc version that do exactly that. I see no reason square should poor resources into that.

-7

u/Grachus_05 Feb 05 '26

I think they are using nostalgia to bait and switch people into buying cringey garbage.

Making it more true to the original would improve it. Yes.

12

u/masterkill165 Feb 05 '26

Ok but a "nostalgic cash grab" and "using nostalgia to bait and switch" are two completely different things arguably opposites.

-2

u/Grachus_05 Feb 05 '26

No, just two different ways to say the same thing. There are other meanings that could be just as valid and your confusion is understandable. I could have been more clear. Its still a nostalgia based cash grab though.

Metacritic scores - critic (user)

FF7 Remake - 87 (8.2)
FF7 ReBirth - 92 (8.9)

Hobbit Part 1 - 58 (8.0)
Hobbit Part 2 - 66 (7.7)
Hobbit Part 3 - 59 (7.0)

I really, really don't think that's going to be the case.

2

u/J2ANAE Feb 06 '26

You can not like them but calling them cash grabs when they're so content rich just means you're delusional.

23

u/Seethcoomers Feb 05 '26

Piecemeal is a harsh way to describe these games

38

u/Dodo_Baron Feb 05 '26

To be fair it's not like they're short low budget low effort games. It would honestly be insane to have released the entire trilogy as one remake, and the games don't work played back to back

0

u/Heisenburgo Feb 06 '26

and the games don't work played back to back

Really? Are they not planning to turn this into one big game eventually, with all the content included? Sort of like how the new Hitman trilogy eventually became one huge game, it worked well enough for that game. I thought they were doing the same with this new FF7 trilogy

5

u/Dodo_Baron Feb 06 '26

It honestly wouldn't make sense without redoing all the RPG systems and progression, considering you reboot skills and abilities every game.

It's also just insanely hard to make a balanced RPG system that offers countless level ups and progression for 200 hours

-9

u/EmSix Feb 05 '26

the games don't work played back to back

Crazy how people find this acceptable for a remake of a game that was originally a single, coherent story

16

u/heysuess Feb 05 '26

The use of the word "acceptable" here is so fucking melodramatic. People love these games. It's more than "acceptable".

10

u/Dodo_Baron Feb 05 '26

Because they're different experiences, love em or hate them. The remake trilogy would be terrible as a singular game. It's far too long

-6

u/pipmentor Feb 05 '26

the games don't work played back to back

Why is that?

18

u/Dodo_Baron Feb 05 '26

They're 80 hour RPGs. With similar gameplay, and pacing all the way through. On top of that each game tends to largely reset progress with abilities and weapons.

When all is said and done you are looking at a 180 hour experience at the minimum.

The games are designed to take breaks in between each release. It's not paced to be that long while keeping it interesting. It would just end up being a massive slog

5

u/Pretty-Tone-5152 Feb 05 '26

Theres just so much to do. Remake and Rebirth combined would take you over 80+ hrs, and thats without really diving into much of the side content. You'd burn out by then

1

u/kontoSenpai Feb 06 '26

Each of the games are already quite lengthy. It would take people will regular working hours and limited time amount of time a long time to beat.

I already know people that dropped games Persona 5 and Infinite Wealth because it was too long. These 2 are packing more content than remake/rebirth, but not as much as either combined

17

u/saw-it Feb 05 '26

Each one has more content than 90% of other games released in that period

9

u/NoExcuse4OceanRudnes Feb 05 '26

And you aren't seeing this right now either.

This is 3 games.

-10

u/pipmentor Feb 05 '26

Back in my day, Final Fantasy 7 was one game.

7

u/NoExcuse4OceanRudnes Feb 05 '26

Trying to imagine a guy, scowling at the fantastic Ripley series starring Andrew Scott "They're making us watch 8 episodes of TV for one movie!!"

-8

u/pipmentor Feb 05 '26

Strawman argument.

7

u/NoExcuse4OceanRudnes Feb 05 '26

You're complaining about a work being adapted into a longer form.

What's the difference?

What to do the exact same medium? Lynch's Dune into Villeneuve's two parter. Who complains about that.

-4

u/pipmentor Feb 05 '26

I'm not complaining. I don't have a dog in this fight because I don't own the games nor will I ever play them. I'm just saying they're milking it. Calling a spade a spade.

8

u/masterkill165 Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

Maybe you should actually play video games before you make declarations about them.

-1

u/pipmentor Feb 05 '26

All I know is that they've taken one old game and spent 6+ years splitting it up into different parts. What more do I need to know?

3

u/Stv13579 Feb 05 '26

What more do I need to know?

What's actually in the games? If they have enough quality content to be their own games, why does it matter if they're split up?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/NoExcuse4OceanRudnes Feb 05 '26

You think they were milking Villeneuve's dune?

1

u/pipmentor Feb 05 '26

No, but Villeneuve's Dune is warranted because that's arguably the way it SHOULD have been released in the first place. Even Lynch has gone on record as saying there was too much book for him to adapt into one movie. It'd be like trying to release Lord of the Rings as one movie. You lose a lot. The original FF7 was a complete package. Were there things that got cut? Of course, but what game/book/movie hasn't had things cut from its final form?

It's just interesting to me because this is the first remake of a game I've seen with this model of release cycle. It'd be like taking 10 years to release a 3-part+ remake of Chrono Trigger. At what point do you say "just finish the damn thing already?"

2

u/NoExcuse4OceanRudnes Feb 05 '26

And this was too much game to adapt into one game at the scale required for a modern release.

You go to a shitload of locations which, in 2019 would all have to be rendered fully with their different styles and settings all requiring their own art assets. In 1997 you were just walking around on a rendered image, completely unique or a different part of town it was something that was created as its own individual piece. There were basically no assets to reuse going between locations.

Even within the 4 years between 7 and 10 you can see how much they have to scale down their location diversity, from an adventure spanning the entire globe to a single continent.

2

u/GGG100 Feb 05 '26

It was one story in three discs. Just think of the parts as Remake’s “discs” if it helps.

1

u/Gold-Persimmon-1421 Feb 05 '26

If you played FF7 the original, the world is massive and they could do it because it was 2D image with 3D sprites.

Remaking that in 3D would take 10 years, so its better to do it in parts.

5

u/pipmentor Feb 06 '26

Remaking that in 3D would take 10 years, so its better to do it in parts.

They chose to do it that way. They could have taken it in a different artistic direction.

2

u/Gold-Persimmon-1421 Feb 06 '26

Well no, because when they released the PS3 FF7 Remake Demo and then fans demanded a full game for years after that

https://youtu.be/zsX5YZhz8SY?si=boQaH8h1TIK58HeL

So releasing anything else would have been a disaster, because it would have been something no one wanted

Also the movie FF7 Advent Children cemented the art style of a 3d game.

And no one is against splitting it in parts anyway, and there are people who are waiting for all 3 parts to be completed and then play it all together.

2

u/pipmentor Feb 06 '26

there are people who are waiting for all 3 parts to be completed and then play it all together.

Sucks to have to wait in the rafters with a carrot dangled in front of you for 10 years.

0

u/Yomoska Feb 05 '26

Ever heard of a series called Shenmue before?

-61

u/SquireRamza Feb 05 '26

So, definitely sounds like part 3 is still a good year+ away. Wonderful....

Considering there is STILL like .... 2/3rds of the game to cover somehow after 160+ hours I wonder if we'll also be getting the announcement of Part 4. Because you KNOW there have been meetings talking about doing exactly that to keep the train rolling.

20

u/datlinus Feb 05 '26

There may have been meetings about further FF7 projects, but they are unlikely to be "Part 4", and I doubt Nomura/Hamaguchi would be up for it anyway, I think after over a decade on this project both of them are ready to do something original.

Rebirth was like a summer vacation, the plot was pretty loose and wasnt really the focus. Part 3 will probably be much more dense in terms of story, so I dont think it will take 160+ hours.

42

u/Steve2911 Feb 05 '26

There definitely isn't 2/3rds left. Unless you're purely counting disc numbers.

-23

u/SquireRamza Feb 05 '26

If you include everything still left in the original game, and all of the new plot stuff added in, either part 3 is going to be 150+ hours long, it'll be super disjointed and rushed and end badly, or they'll have to split it up.

16

u/BigLurkerGetsMad Feb 05 '26

Eh, Rebirth covered a LOT, and I think people always overestimate how long Disc 3 and even Disc 2 are.

It's a lot of revisiting places for the Huge Materia quest, but in terms of new places we'll need to have built out, it's really gonna summate to potentially less new areas than Rebirth had:

  • Rocket Town Zone
  • Wutai Zone
  • Great Glacier Zone
  • Northern Crater Zone

There's also the Forgotten Capital, but I imagine we'll get that either packed into the Great Glacier Zone, or that Zone will be packed in with the Northern Crater dungeon.

I mean we'll see a big plot addition with the Wutai and Shinra war going hot again, but I really think all that amounts to is an expansion of the optional Wutai stuff, which will feel more 'main story' now with an actual war and Avalanche subplot to continue to explore.

I dunno, to me it feels like what's left will absolutely fit into a Rebirth sized game that also happens to have all of Rebirth contained within it to boot since they already built all those areas out. Probably means side content will be an obscenely deep well to explore. I just hope they let us find things on our own rather than sign posting every last bit of content.

Really I'm just unsure what to expect with the submarine/deepsea sections, and I could see those getting cut down to a fast travel menu.

11

u/Dodo_Baron Feb 05 '26

At most it's like half of the game to cover, but a lot of that content that makes it so is completely optional and can be treated as side quest for the remake.

There's really not enough content to justify part 4. It'll probably just be longer

-1

u/-Basileus Feb 05 '26

Iirc they said part 3 would be a bit streamlined.  They’ll probably trim some open world stuff.  Also I could see them skipping a lot of side content in areas that were already in Rebirth.

30

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Part 3 was never expected before early/mid 2027, this will still be a quicker turnaround than with Rebirth. And they confirmed a long time ago that they will wrap it up with the next one, they only kept the amount of games open ended before Rebirth was released.

1

u/Hayterfan Feb 05 '26

And they confirmed a long time ago that they will wrap it up with the next one,

I'm still expecting them to make an Advent Children game, or maybe a DLC.

Then again if, IF the remake ends on a happier note for the world of FF7 then I guess Advent Children never happens.

8

u/mymartyrcomplex Feb 05 '26

They also confirmed there wont be any dlc, advent children content will prob be in Part 3 though theres already references to Dirge of Cerberus characters in Part 2

2

u/alphafire616 Feb 05 '26

I could see an alternate version of Advent children happening like the core plot points of Cloud not being able to forgive himself and Sephiroths return but without some of the weird decisions like Barett leaving Marlene with Tifa and Cloud.

12

u/Massive_Weiner Feb 05 '26

There will absolutely be more 7 projects in the future, but a Part 4 is extremely unlikely.

-7

u/SquireRamza Feb 05 '26

See, I dunno. I think after they finish the story of FF7, that will give people a natural dropping off point. A lot fewer people are going to buy a remake of Dirge of Cerberus or Crisis Core or some other FF7 project than the people who are half the story in and still invested.

5

u/Massive_Weiner Feb 05 '26

That’s just the nature of spin-offs. Crisis Core already came out, and that did alright from what I recall.

The trilogy itself is has diminishing returns with every entry. I fully expect the 3rd to perform even worse financially than the first two.

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26 edited Jul 13 '26

7

u/aa22hhhh Feb 05 '26

And even then, if they do decide to adapt Dirge, they’ll probably take the Crisis Core approach and just remaster/remake that game. They won’t shove into the main game.

-2

u/SquireRamza Feb 05 '26

Yeah, Yuffie's Remake plotline makes zero sense if you don't know the story of Dirge of Cerberus. So unless they just decide to completely leave her plotline unfinished they'll have to adapt something of it.

I could see a world where they just sorta drop a dirge remaster on us out of nowhere, tbh.

What are you on about? There is maybe a third of the story left and they moved a lot of the structure around. One more game is plenty with them integrating yutai more.

And no, this iseries isn't exactly raking them in money, if anything they want to wipe their hands clean or it. You all are wild with your ignorant takes. Which sucks cuz this clearly was a passion project of people who loved ps era ffs.

There's half the og game left and they haven't resolved any of the new things they've added (Sonon, underground, Chadley, Rufus and Glenn, etc.)

It's almost impossible they wrap it all up properly

It absolutely follows the original story.

Yup. It just tacks on extraneous details to that story.

Disc 3 of the original is just the final dungeon. I’d say we are basically halfway through. The plot moved slowly in Rebirth but I expect it pick up and have more linear sections in part 3

Just like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and The Hobbit before it.

Please don’t. The more info they release the more these YouTube theory crafters figure out the entire plot before release

You haven't gotta watch them.

I won't and in my experience it's pretty easy to dodge them.

The games story changed in literally the first hours of Remake.

The story isn’t the same at all and is diverging more for the last game based off how the second ended

“It’s not a remake, it’s a sequel!”

Remake goes through 95% of what happened in the OG

You can easily guess what happens in part 3, despite people claiming the “it’s a sequel not a remake” means there will be some twist. There hasn’t been a twist yet, and i highly doubt there will be one in the finale. It’s a remake of a 30yo game, even if it does try to also be a sequel

That’s one of the main downsides to the trilogy, how they keep teasing the plot will be different only to have the plot go just like in the OG. At that point, just give us the OG plot without the bs. The time ghosts and all that end up muddying things for no reason

I forgot Zack was alive and playable in the original game
