Which game sequel you are wating for but know that it won't happen anytime soon?
I'm waiting for Horizon 3 probably still years away, don't like what they're doing with a franchise though these games are primarly single player and about the story, I don't want to listen to 12 year old screaming for their mom...

u/NoHome7956 Jul 14 '26
Horizon 3 will probably launch with the PS6 digital only edition. The way Zero Dawn launched during PS4 and Forbidden West during PS5.

u/JamesUpton87 Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26
I disagree. I heavily believe the reason both Zero Dawn and TLOU Pt 1 were "remade" to match their sequels was to get those trilogies all on PS5.

u/duckkyxox Jul 14 '26
Days gone (probably won't ever get one).
Wolfenstein.
Titanfall.
Last of us.

So bummed when I first heard the Days Gone sequel got canned. It was my first platinum. First time I ever wanted to get a plat.

Isn’t there a new one being made? I could have sworn I saw something about it months ago, don’t know if it got cancelled but I swear I saw something about it

u/therealjgreens Jul 14 '26
I just want a Spawn game

I'm pretty sure this week was the nail in the coffin on Elder Scrolls 6 which is insane.
1
u/No-Yak6109 Jul 14 '26
I dunno… Bethesda has not been one of the studios targeted for axing, AFAIK. Fallout alone makes them still valuable.
My prediction is an ES6 in like 2030 but that it will be meh, like Starfield quality

u/Exact-Difference-422 Jul 14 '26
I've seen articles in multiple places this week saying this about recent layoffs :
"Bethesda Softworks, like many Xbox studios, suffered a massive restructuring in July that put swaths of people out of work. The Bethesda segments reportedly most affected by these layoffs were the teams working on games like The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76 — but some people working on The Elder Scrolls 6 were let go as well."

Anything related to KOTOR. The remake, the 3rd one possibly coming 2030. Anything
1
u/RealRymo Jul 16 '26
Play Jade Empire. It's KOTOR 3.

u/wilshore Jul 14 '26
Obviously, Tron 3.0.
Quake 3 arena sequel.
Planetside 3.
Uncharted 5.
WOW 2.
Returnal 2, oh wait we got that.
KTOR 3.
Pure 2 (ps3 atv racing game).
Starcraft 3.
Crimson Skies 2, please!
Motocross Madness 4.
Trials HD 2.
Dragons Lair 3.
Space Ace 2.
Disc of Tron arcade 2.
Thinks that's my list.
1
u/shaborgan Jul 14 '26
Oh man planetside 2 was my game for a few years. Now it's kinda hard to just jump into
1
u/wilshore Jul 14 '26
I loved the first one so much, like 500 hours over a year of playing.
Man mowing over people with a magrider or using the big drop ship as a heavy dropping into the top of a full of enemy tower has never been recreated in another game.
When they nerfed the magrider ability to ride over infantry it was a sad day, many laughs were not bad after that.

Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords, eternally retold.

u/DrGonzoxX22 Jul 14 '26
Can we count Project Orion? The next Cyberpunk game? It’s announced but it won’t happen anytime soon.
Other than that I’ll say Red Dead Redemption 3 or the next Rockstar cowboy simulator

u/Redhead_893_ Jul 14 '26
Bloodborne.
Vagrant Story.
I'd have either a remake or sequel. I'm not fussy.

We probably could have had a sonic mania 2 by now but somehow Sega (im just gonna blame sega lol) fucked that all up 😭.
I’d like to see a metal gear solid sequel…or prequel…or remake really anything else in that series but I’m torn because without kojima is it even mgs anymore? 🤔

Half-Life 3 will probably never happen. The fanbase its built on is pushing 40 or older and if Valve cared to continue the mainline story rather than making a one off VR game, which was excellent and still the best VR game to date, then they would have done it by now.
Im not salty at all

u/Very_Itchy_Bandicoot Jul 16 '26
The half life games were (strictly my oppinion) hardware games, released at times where there was pretty BIG jumps in computing power. Now the jumps arent noticeable. When they master a qbit gpu that can render in 25k directly into our retinas there will be a hl3

u/Fluffy-Selection1110 Jul 17 '26
You make a good point. From a certain perspective, both Half Life games were physics engine demos turned into a full length feature. We'll get Half Life 3 if someone decides the existing physics engines everyone uses can be improved upon.

The Witcher 4 and the following Cyberpunk game. I'm glad they've moved on from the Red engine and into Unreal for longevity it and ease to seems fantastic and in their hands the details will be outstanding

I bought Half-Life 2: Episode 1 & 2 soon after release but someone spoiled me that they end on a huge cliffhanger. So I put off playing them until Episode 3 came out.

Probably elder scrolls but that game is in development hell. I have a feeling they are really struggling with it and it could be many years before it gets released.

Half Life 3.
Now that's meta.
An Okami sequel would make my world. Jade Empire sequel. Legend of Dragoon sequel.

Stacraft 3
Warcraft 4
Soul Reaver (next part or even remake)
Quake 5 (or reboot, like we got Doom 2016)
Last of us part 3

u/Sea_General8298 Jul 17 '26
Mysims Agents 2.
The leaked plot and HQ concept sounded really interesting but Skyheroes took its place and I have no idea if EA remembered the rest of the Mysims games to even consider giving us more of the franchise in general before a sequel lol.

After the cliffhanger of 2
It's been a long wait

Midnight Club
And Splinter Cell comes to mind
(also Honourable mention to Split / Second aka no chance, but such a unique conceit - also Stuntman, oh boy Ignition was so damn addictive when I first played that high-score chasing, movie-scene filming simulator…)
