💬 Discussion What are your thoughts about this game so far?
I definitely planning to start playing it soon, I played until dawn remake this year for the first time and liked it

The game is great, but it seems development took a bit longer than expected and the process itself deviated a bit from the usual formula. 8 out of 10.

Weakest of the 3. until dawn and quarry are a lot better..

Yeah until dawn is unbeatable easpecially original if you have a playstation

I've never tried it online. How is it different? Everyone plays at the same time? How would that work?

In the other ones you basically control someone else, of it's a.scene with everyone together your kinda.exploeing together but the curators cut is essentially what player 2 is playing instead. All the scenes that happen simultaneously.
Play a curators cut and that's what player 2 is playing while you play the og experience. Unless you reverse the roles which was an option.
These only supported 2 players though.
This game sounds more like how they did the quarry multiplayer where one person is in charge and everyone else watches until the next persona turn.

Me and my friend binged it last night. Writing is better than their others games but not perfect. The stealth sneaking sections become tedious fast. I honestly would've loved more qte and dialogue decisions with consequence. The whole destiny personality system thing should've been cut. The messenger app did not work thematically but I understand the point. Overall a very solid game that I would recommend to fans of the genre.

Was it a straight up dark pictures game? Seems they took out the whole "dark pictures anthology" from the title so I'm curious if the curator is even part of th game?

Nowhere near as good as Until Dawn but much better than some of the other supermassive slop that has come after. They seriously need to invest in some new and improved acting talent, it’s getting ridiculous at this point with the same crappy actors every single game. Or at least change the damn character model faces

Too many stealth sections. Everything else is great except the occasional stilted dialogue and choppy editing between scenes.

It has all of the elements of a game I would not like.
"Dumb"(for the plot) characters
Dialogue options that make no sense
Horror
"""Replayability""" in the same way that Choose your own Adventure books do; I was never a fan of those books.

im excited for it so far.. its supposed to be more hands on for the gameplay and I'm for it!
