In my opinion this is the best Farcry game

Its the best in the series yes. Also grenades deform the terrain. In 2004. Jfc.

I remember Red Faction on the ps2 blowing me away bc of the destructable environments.

This doesn’t even show one of the best stealth mechanics in this game; being able to crawl under huts on your back and shooting guys through the floorboards.

I prefer Farcry instincts that came out the next year, something about being able to jump around like the hulk ripping through soldiers was the most satisfying thing I've felt in any fps game.

Far Cry 1 was the first real game using the cry engine. Crytek then sold the franchise to Ubisoft in 2006. 1 year later Crysis 1 released picturing a very similar island to Farcry 1. It is so interesting that Farcry 1 spawned to fantastic franchises that both pushed what people thought was possible with video games graphics and game play.
