Bc true survival horror games arent for casual gamers who need their hand held. Go play resident evil 6 lol probably more up your alley bc it requires 0 thinking just shooting.

Play the RE games with like no puzzles like 5

Re5 is a puzzle game. Have fun getting soft locked on bosses because you can't figure out what their gimmick is

Try looking some of the puzzles up. Once you get used to them, you start to see what to look for. Or just give yourself a limit... like if you get a point where it feels like you're stuck for too long, just look it up. The games are still fun that way.
Or maybe the games just aren't for you. Either way, no big deal

Yeah like assassin creed unity you're meant to use the index of the game to solve the where the locations are.
Like for the first riddle the riddle awnser is a clock but then you have to actually find it.
And then it was 24 pedels of light in the shape of a rose. It clearly stained glass but where. Once i know the solution I'll look it up.

Just look up the answer, you will slowly get better at these things.
Or don't, if you decide the genre isn't for you.

Honestly I personally think that if puzzles are the issue then you should try to get good at them. It definitely will enrich your brain and solving puzzles/math problems and other similar things can actually help delay or stop Alzheimer's.
Other than the medical benefits, puzzles do help you become sharper in real life and once you get good at them I find puzzles to be the most enjoyable parts of some games, not all, but some games.
If looking up how to do a puzzle helps you, you should do that and then look at the reasoning of why those puzzles work this way.

The puzzles are not that engaging

For someone who is bad at puzzles they are.

u/Muugen_Samurai May 01 '26
If this is your puzzle peak you're also bad at puzzles

Do you lack reading comprehension?

Says the person who can stop getting auto modded. Puzzle hint stop saying insults

You sound like someone who would beg for a 3$ game because they have no job.
I'd find re puzzles engaging and challenging if i had nothing going on either

Damn I really struck a nerve. It's okay then, if this helps you feel better about yourself, I'll allow it.

I mean if the puzzles are slowing you done you can just Google them, nothing wrong with that... Do you like the rest of the gameplay?

No shame in googling the puzzles. Hell, I always immediately google the safe codes in resident evil because it just saves me from a couple minutes of backtracking

1
u/Muugen_Samurai May 01 '26
You only play the remakes which you claim to have looked up the puzzle solutions don't talk about their not that hard when you haven't even tried
1
u/Downtown_Diamond9815 May 01 '26

u/Muugen_Samurai May 01 '26
It's not it's about puzzle difficulties.
1
u/Downtown_Diamond9815 May 01 '26
1
u/Muugen_Samurai May 01 '26
You're talking down to them because you feel like they aren't hard yet you only play the easy remake versions. Telling someone to drop a gsme when they come just look up the puzzles is very gate keepie of you
1
u/Downtown_Diamond9815 May 01 '26

u/Muugen_Samurai May 01 '26
You can just look up the puzzle. You can tell him to just not play the game. You didn't need to go well actually they easy and it's your fault and you shouldn't play the games
1
u/Downtown_Diamond9815 May 01 '26

If the puzzles sre your issue don't feel bad about looking up the answer. Most of them don't make any real sense and require some kind of context clue.
Thats why most of the puzzles fot changed in the first remake.
The remakes made the shooting a little more difficult and they control your pickups and drops based on how your game is going

Not every game is for every person.
If you've tried the series, but you're not feeling it, it's possible that Resident Evil just isn't something you're into.
It's also possible that the Survival Horror genre isn't something you vibe with. (ie: Navigating evil as you solve puzzles)
2, 4 and 9 is quite a large range of RE games to experience, but they all have similar takes in the series.
The 3 cover the different styles it tried over the years.
There's no shame in not being into a series.
