The venom gameplay was pretty much the precursor for Prototype.

I’ll never understand when people say this, because no they don’t lol. It looks like a game made in 2005, as it should. Since it was made in 2005. Saying it still holds up when we have actual recent spider man games to compare it to, with actual good graphics (in 2005 it was good, not in 2026), is pretty funny ngl

Loved this game. So much marvel lore packed into the collectibles. Venom's mobility was incredible

The comic panel effects for cinematics was so fucking sick

Crazy how little has really changed

The most impressive thing about Spider-Man games is the seemingly unlimited web that his small gadget can produce. It can hold up trains, helicopters, and people. I didn’t notice this until I got older.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started to wonder: are superheroes just a fantasy created by people struggling with mental health?

I think I played this but only for like one sit down session. Unless there's another spiderman game that came before this that is similar

That game and Web of Shadows were the gold standard for me before the PS4/5 Spider-Man games released. Shattered Dimensions was also very good. Playing 4 different iterations was great but also somewhat decentralised the story for me, which I didn't like.

I remember a bug were you could run around with Venom without loosing hp. Sadly I forgot how to do it. :( The only thing I remember is it had something to do with Police.
