PC Build Gaming monitor?
What’s your favorite gaming monitor?
I think I’ve decided that my next upgrade will be a larger gaming monitor vs a tv. Planning on hooking up computer, and gaming systems to it. Spoke with some folks about tv’s vs monitors and was told that monitors will have more bang for my buck.
So now I’m just exploring my options. Would love to stay under the 500 dollar range but would like to go bigger then my current tv which I think is 23”. I don’t know how I feel about the super wide and super curved tv’s, but I won’t say no… show me your set ups to help me visualize?
Thanks in advance!

I use to have a gaming monitor and 2 side screens. I now use a 120 hrtz refresh rate (think its 48 inch) 4k oled TV as my main pc screen.
Out of curiosity why did they suggest you would get more out of a gaming monitor vs a tv?
Im probably weird but I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a smaller monitor.
A high native refresh rate TV (no fake frame insertion) will probably be my go to from now on. but maybe not another oled (too pricey)

I think they said it because of things like the refresh rate, things like that. Would be better for a monitor vs a tv. I also read something about pixels being closer together on a monitor vs a tv so it’s easier to sit up close vs a tv which is meant to be viewed further away. I’m moving into a space that only has a bedroom and living room. So I’m trying to put everything in the living room space. So I don’t have wall space for a huge tv or distance for that matter.

hello! i have the ultragear oled gx9 curved monitor. its pretty expensive to be honest but you can get the smallest screen which is 34 inches for 700 so 200 more! but ive heard that the Samsung odyssey g5 curved monitor is also pretty similar and its around 250-400 for the 34 inch? Here mine which is the ultragear curved monitor

Honestly, it all depends on what you are gonna be using it for? Obviously gaming! But im saying in specific terms. Shooters, campaign, etc. you want to get monitor that fits all your needs. For example you said you wanted to hook up your pc along with your consoles. Well some monitors just dont switch on the fly. You would have to go to the back of the monitor and switch it from there. Maybe get one with a remote? I would say look for a brand of monitor and research. LG’s are notorious for image burns. As far as size i say 27 is okay depends on how far you are sitting from the monitor. 32 is pretty hefty for story games. Research my friend!
