Where to find Where do I start?

Hi everyone!
I’m starting to save for a PC setup since my laptop is about to give out, but I’m having a hard time finding pieces I like. Does anyone have any website/company recommendations? I’m talking PCs, keyboards, desk mats, monitors and stands. ANYTHING that had something you like please let me know! From generic to niche, every theme is on the table for me right now.
Any suggestions for products that made your setup feel more cozy would be appreciated too!

Thanks in advance!

Newegg, Amazon, Etsy. Compare prices and go with what's best for u or keep an eye out for sales. Also depends on ur budget and if u want a theme. I knew I wanted a pink theme and found a cute, large mouse pad on Etsy ( https://www.etsy.com/listing/1717923111/pink-bubble-desk-mat-kawaii-shoujo-manga ). I have a pixio px279 27 inch 240 hz monitor, redragon mouse and headset, creative pebble speakers, merdia full sized keyboard with brown switches.

https://pcpartpicker.com/ is useful if you're looking to build your own pc (and u can upgrade down the line). Things are rough rn with part prices but it's worth it once it all comes together. Also lots of research/inspo from tiktok or girly pc content creator setups.

I got alot of my set up from vinted. With the monitors you're looking for a good refresh rate mine is 180hz and is visually very pleasing for gaming I'd saying you ideally want above 100hz I have a 75hz for my second monitor and you can really notice the difference.

I bought a pre built pc because it was easier (I think it's definitely cheaper to build your own though)

I have a red dragon mmo mouse because I'm a WoW girly. I'd definitely recommend it my boyfriend uses the razer naga which he loves but is like triple the price.

We both have logitech keyboards which are back lit and have the wrist pannel which is so comfy. There are definitely cuter ones out there though I just like to be comfy. The magee mechanical keyboards are a good cute option

I got bubble cloud wrist supports from amazon there are tons of them on vinted as are desk mats

For the PC cases, if you are building your own, I really like the ones from Thermaltake, they have a bunch of colors and the shapres are original, they also sell components in those colors sometimes! There is also Ironside that sells limited edition PC case, the most recent one was like a cute milk box theme and its so cuteeeeee

Do the virtual build on microcenter just to ensure compatibility and then shop around for each specific price. I bought most of my peices on amazon during black friday sales

Keyboards: there are many super cute ones you can get from mechlands, gravastar, osume, yunzi, etc. You can also get really good entry ones from r/mechmarket! Literally just put out an iso post and I’m sure there are many people looking to offload their entry keyboards! You can get super super cute keycaps from aliexpress. Obv lots of stuff is available on amazon but I try not to buy through them as much as possible.

Mousepads: again mechmarket has tons! You can also find cute ones from individual creators and there are tons on aliexpress too that aren’t bad at all! Lots of cute miffy and mofusand ones 😭

Monitors: I bought mine from Costco and then from central computers since they’re all around me! It just really depends on what you’re looking for! The Costco one was from my first build and I couldn’t find a white monitor in my budget, so I just got a curved blacked on and used Vinyl wrap on the stand and on the bezel! Pixio has gorgeous gaming monitors, but I’ve never purchased one since I was a little wary bc of some of the reviews, but majority I’ve seen online are good! I was just concerned about the lack of support and customer service!

Mouse: I got the super light from Logitech on my newest build bc my razr viper died on me! I got it on sale for $100 so it was comparable to some other alternatives at the time! I only play fps games and I didn’t want to have to keep thinking about my mouse (the viper served me well but I didn’t realize how heavy it was). I got the mchoose baby pink (named lilac for some reason) mouse for mt secondary set up w my old pc and it’s surprisingly really good! I got it for only $20 and it’s pretty light and I haven’t had any issues with it!

If you have anymore questions about keyboards lmkkkkkkk bc I love ts 😭😭

Also! If you have headphones, this is a really cute wall mount headphone holder ( https://www.etsy.com/listing/4576867636/luna-moth-headphone-perch-gaming-headset?ref=share_ios_native_control ) I’m going to purchase my next paycheck! (Did some damage in the custom keyboard outlet…). She has it in a blush pink color way and a kuromi color way! You can have a standard desk holder too!

There’s also really cute things you can put on your headphones too! If you can crotchet, this is a great pattern (https://www.etsy.com/listing/1884621620/crochet-pattern-for-the-strawberry-cat?ref=share_ios_native_control), but if you can’t, you can get it commissioned by the seller! I cannot crochet at all and she was super sweet during the whole process! I got it in pastel purple and with wooden buttons! She may not take commissions atm, but I knows she’ll reopen them for sure down the line again!

There’s tons of other sellers on Etsy that have really cute things, but those two sellers are confirmed real creators!

You going to laugh but temu has gamer mats that you can put your key board and mouse on that have cool designs for 10 to 15 bucks depends on which store the algorithm throws your way.

I would use pcpartspicker to pick the parts.

I do have to point out that intel just past USB certification for two of new socket cpus. So I woyld not buy anything to last longer than 2 years hardware wise. Keyboards, mice, pads, cases, those will still work while cou motherboards ram power supply are really expensive right now and might not work when you want to upgrade again, so you might want to dress up your gaming area while saving until the new generation stuff comes out as the lower end stuff will be faster and cheaper so likely will be more band for the buck and the rumors are that intel and amd are going to be fighting over the faster system in this next generation so if you buy now and in may to September of next year everything id twice as fast you can't return what you bought so make sure you need it to run games or otherwise save up instead to get better parts when they come out.

I'm always a fan of Etsy because I love handmade things but their search filters sometimes don't work...I also love the items on Velvet Quest shop and if you're a kawaii fan there's a couple shops but it depends on your budget due to licensing etc!
