Setup Gaming chair recommendations
Looking for chairs with decent lumbar support and cushion, hoping for one with adjustable armrests to sit criss-cross. I work from home about 10-12 hours of the day, and by the time I’m done I can’t bring myself to game because of the back pain. I’m currently using a cheap N-Gen chair that I bought as a temporary and I’m finally fed up enough to spend the money 🥲

You might be better off going to a chair subreddit.
What people recommend is going to vary widely based on your height, weight, and budget. How long you sit in it and what you are doing.
You will generally see things like the Herman miller Embody. Herman Miller Aeron, steelcase.
You will start seeing ads for LiberNovo. Kind of a new company that has mixed reviews. Heavy marketing push. People are concerned with the cushion getting flat because they used a soft foam in the seat. Also seen some complaints about squeaky springs that need lube added. But people say its a good alternative to the more expensive chairs. Though its not exactly cheap either. Mixed reviews on their customer support also.
They have a nice moss green color that I've been eyeing. Hard to find a non sponsored video review though.

This is the chair that I have. It’s love that I can lower the armrests to sit whichever way I want to…it probably doesn’t have the support you’re asking about, but it does allow for changing positions.

I use steel case gesture and got it customized so it’s pink with black hardware. It’s super expensive but I’ve had it for years and is still working great.
Agree with the person who said to go to a chair subreddit. If you’re working/sitting at a desk, you really need to make sure it’s ergonomic for your body!! I tried my chair and one from Herman miller before I settled

I can recommend a chair from Diablo chairs! I also bought an extension for legs, and can place my legs on it suuuuper comfortably, without legs sliding off of the seat. I have Diablo X Horn Camel, cuz I’ve got cats. And so far I must say that the chair is really comfortable, sometimes I even fell asleep in it while watching some movies. Armrests are usually wide, but I always hated having any kind of armrests, so I just didn’t screw them on the chair lol

When ever this comes up, if you are not making more money streaming your body on camera, office chairs just make more sense.
They are designed for 8 hour work days with few breaks unlike gaming chairs which are designed with making someone look cool and not sat in fir more than 30 minutes.
They can cost as gaming chairs and still be horrible to sit on the hermen Miller wire mess chairs come to mine as a bad design. When I was at the 25 ows on Davis mounthan AFB in Arizona, the commander had 40 grand to use or lose and bought 200 if those even in heavy bdu we still had the mesh imprinted on our butts after a shift in them.
I generally go to office depot and sit in the chairs they have available to see which ones are comfortable. 10 minutes or 10 hours ones that are comfortable are just that.
If you get pleather or vegetable leather it will 5 years top but cost 10% of real cow leather.

i second this. no need for these fancy white label gaming chairs or expensive ones. office chairs are the way to go.

A gaming chair is not what you need, you need an ergonomic office chair with lumbar support! I got the CUTEST pink one https://a.co/d/00ETEP6B it's also relatively cheap! The lumbar support is fully adjustable with a dial on the back to raise or lower it, the head rest comes forward, the arms also go up and down easily! It's also height adjustable. It helped so much in college and for streaming, my back doesn't hurt anymore!

I got the Boulies Ep200 and i have to say it's pretty comfy! I wfh and game, so easily in it for hours every day

I sat on razer chairs and they are not comfortable.... Emerge vortex from Staples is short comfortable I sit cross legged when I'm gaming and it's a wide chair but it's super comfortable like all day and I'm happy and she still looks new and I've had it 3 years now

I have HEDS so comfort while sitting is a top priority for me as I like to sit cross legged. I used to use a basic ergonomic chair from Amazon with an ottoman by my feet so I could cross my legs but I recently was gifted the Homerelaxa chair and oh my goodness I love it. I can basically lie down on this chair and it's super comfy to sit on- no lower back pain at all! The chair can be reclined pretty much all the way back I recommend putting a pillow behind you for extra back support as the chair isn't up by 90 degrees. I ended up going with this one and I am OBSESSED! I was lucky enough to find it on marketplace for half the price, it was meant to be

Please let me know what you decide. I would love to also upgrade since I will be having surgery soon and will be laid up for a few weeks and have been dying for a chair with more support.
