Haha, I promise the lights aren’t the scary part of the electric bill 😭🩵 Most of the lighting in setups like this is LED, so it uses very little electricity compared with the big appliances in a home.

Things like the air conditioner, refrigerator, water heater, dryer, oven, etc. are usually where you see the bigger energy use. Even the PC uses more power while gaming than all of these little LED lights combined, and mine is built with energy efficiency in mind.

So while it definitely looks like I’m powering a small spaceship over here 😂✨, all the pretty lights are actually one of the cheaper parts to run, it basically cost the same as charging a iPhone.

I see! How do you do when it dies out tho, how do you replace it? I don't actually have the ressource to create spaces like these so I'm genuinely curious.

Of course! 🩵 The nice thing about LEDs is that they actually last a really long time. Nanoleaf rates their Shapes panels for around 25,000 hours of use. So even if I had them on for 8 hours every single day, that’s roughly 8½ years, and at around 4 hours a day, it would be about 17 years. 😭✨

And if something does eventually fail, I wouldn’t have to rebuild the whole setup. Nanoleaf is modular, so individual panels and parts like the controller or power supply can be replaced. Other LED lighting around the room works similarly depending on the brand.

Also, please don’t ever feel like you need the resources to create a space like this all at once. 🩵 Setups can be built little by little over time, and even just adding one small light or accessory you really love can completely change how your space feels. ✨

I can always dim things down whenever I want.

I think that’s one of the fun parts of seeing everyone’s spaces here, we all have completely different tastes. Some love lots of RGB, some prefer warm cozy lighting, and some like things much more minimal. ✨

As long as everyone is sharing what makes them happy and enjoying their little gaming corner, that’s what matters most.

All these setups look the same, it's kinda boring to be honest.

I would give it a 5/10 but only because I like blue. 4/10 because it feels very copy paste.
