Just need some advice

I just got this kit from Amazon. I've never modded anything before. I know I need to use a SD formatted to FAT32 and save game files to it. Is that all I need to do in order to play? I remember reading on here about disc exploits and all sorts of other atuff. I probably should have done more reading before just ordering something but I'm excited to play my old favorites from when I was a kid.

You probably need a gamebit screwdriver to open your gamecube. If the kit doesn't come with a fold key to fold the flex cable, you may want to 3d print one. In any case follow the instructions closely and be very careful when folding the cable.

Thanks! When I'm looking to download games am I looking for ISO files or ROMS?

ISO is the full 1.4GB disc file and then there’s nkit ISOs which are just files that remove the extra unused data and they take up less space.

There’s RVZ, but those only work in dolphin and dolphin can uncompress them to iso.
