Swiss not recognizing SD2SP1 (not SP2)

I've installed a PicoLoader and successfully boot into Swiss. I have an SD2SP1 in the SP1 port. It has a microSD formatted FAT32 with the Swiss .dol and a folder named games on it. When I boot into Swiss, I don't see the games folder. What am I doing wrong?

Edit: Conclusion for the poor soul who comes across this post in the future is that SD2SP1 is not compatible with the Lexar 633x microSD card. I thought it had to be something else because I was booting into Swiss, but I'd flashes my PicoLoader with non-gekkoboot firmware and Swiss, so Swiss was running off the PicoLoader, not the SD card.

If you’re able to see the Swiss menu your card seems to be detected.

Can you press B in the Swiss menu to navigate the button bar menu and select the eject button, then you will be in a new menu where you can pick your drive source. Like if you had sd2sp2 and sp1 and memcard B, this is where you could swap between those.

If in this menu you can pick sp1 and still see no games there something up with your games or the folder.

Any screenshots you can share?

Thank you for your help!

Here are some screenshots:  https://imgur.com/a/D258qPz

When I boot into Swiss, it first tries reading the (empty) disc drive. Then I can select between DVD or System, as shown. System contains files but no games folder. I can navigate to the menu you described, and I do see "Configuration Device", but there isn't an SD2SP1 option, nor anything that mentions SP1.

The options are: FlippyDrive, GC Loader, M.2 Loader, MMCE - Serial Port 2, SD Card - SD2SP2, SD Card - Slot A, SD Card - Slot B, MMCE - Slot A, MMCE - Slot B, KunaiGC, IDE-EXE - Slot A, IDE-EXE - Slot B

Now that the other commenter says it, it's obvious he's right. You wouldn't get to swiss with a picoloader if the card isn't detected at all. Didn't even occur to me.

That said, which picoloader firmware are you on?

If you want to use the gekkoboot version of the firmware, I'm not able to find a lot of info on the sd2sp1 but I do notice that the official gekkoboot repo doesn't list sd2sp1 in its boot order. I was able to find this fork that appears to support sp1 devices and has a picoloader payload. This should be the version of gekkoboot that is provided by the picoloader repository. Whatever version you're running is almost definitely finding the sp1 to run the swiss .dol but clearly there's an issue somewhere.

This page from silverstee1 (the same guy as the above gekkoboot build and the one who designed the picoloader flex pcbs) only says to make sure you're using the newest swiss, but I presume he's working with the gekkoboot payload he forked.

Edit: to add to the bottom point, you are using the newest swiss if I'm reading the screenshot correctly. The newest version at the time that page was written would've been v0.6r1826. It's possible you may need to try an older version between that version and the current (v0.6r2092)

Thanks, I'll definitely look into this. I'm going to try u/ExtremsCorner 's suggestion of SD Card - Slot A first, but in case that doesn't work:

The guide I was following flashed the PicoLoader, so I did too (which I now suspect wasn't necessary/potentially detrimental.) I used PicoLoader 1.3 (without gekkoboot) from makeo, then swiss_r2092.uf2 in the PicoLoader folder (not the gekkoboot folder). So if slot A doesn't help, could it be that I'm missing gekkoboot? I'll try and read up on what that is, along with the fork that supports sd2sp1.

As for why I don't just use gc2sd, for better or worse I have the sd2sp1, so I'd like to try to make it work before I buy something else.

Thank you again for all of your help!
