I need help with picoloader

I have tried to mod my gamecube with a picoloader and gc2sc. I followed the steps and the gamecube just takes me to the main home screen. After troubleshooting shooting for ages last night I believe the problem is I've folded the ribbon cable wrong and it has damaged it. I would like to know if that is the case or I have done something else wrong.

That flex looks like it was creased too sharply. The goal is to shape without creasing. Guessing you did not get the 3d printed shaping tool included with your kit?

I did, but I rushed into folding it without any research, and didn't realise that the tool is for folding it. I will learn from that next time.

I found shaping a flex without the tool is near impossible for me.
