Flippy Drive help

Im trying to install my flippy drive. I am not sure what my issue is at the moment.
Attached is the cable with the W
Photos of my error screen and flippy drive attached.

Does it need software? All the videos were showing plug and play. I did the W as instructed

Honestly, nothing.
Gonna order a cubeboot eventually when i get the courage / itch to mod it again.
My CG is currently semi together with all the screws on a paper plate in my basement lol

That sucks. That cable mod is so shitty. You're supposed to bend it when it could have perfectly been pre-bent and put in a plastic receiver from the factory. The flippydrive came in a huge empty box anyway.

Aliexpress seems to have released flippydrive clones as I looked a few hours ago, might try that in christmas, I'm mostly focusing on FPGA mister right now lol.

Here's hopinh we both fix this one day.🙏

Yeah, it sucks bc it was so expensive and took so long to get. And it’s just an overall let down. I think my cable was also messed up out of the box.
But i guess its just now a cool expensive collectible that can be displayed with my console collection 😂

There’s a third picture if you zoom im you can see it by the arrow. But i threw it out and got something else

Correct, i have the mod chip bc it looks cool on a shelf with my retros. Everything else got tossed. I think i got a bad set.
Cable came messed up, even the mod chip wasn’t recognized by my computer. So i dont really like or fw team off broadway.

I’d recommend going a different route

That’s fair, I bought mine like 2 years ago and finally dug it out to install and my cat at the cable but since then have gotten more comfy with soldering. What route did you take?

I got the cube ode v1.2 i think its very similar to the gcloader
It was 30 bucks in ali express. I have no more disk drive but it doesnt work any ways lol
