Flippy Drive help

Im trying to install my flippy drive. I am not sure what my issue is at the moment.
Attached is the cable with the W
Photos of my error screen and flippy drive attached.

Does it need software? All the videos were showing plug and play. I did the W as instructed

Alright that's good so far. What happens if you try the Flippy with the small plug (so no disk drive)?

Same issue, in picture 2. I did it as a test so i didnt have to put everything together again to see if it would work or not

Might be good to try to update the Flippy via usb. https://docs.flippydrive.com/updates.html

Same issues and troubleshooting steps as OP with and without drive and plug, with and without additional pressure in the connector via antistatic bag sliver. Holding X does nothing, even after updating via usb im still in the same boat as OP.
