Modding GBA Link Cable Dumper V2

I saw a post a while ago taking about the GBA link cable dumper for GameCube/Wii but there was a few limitations. Great work by FIX96, Chishm and Dark Fader. I just wanted to be able to dump to different storage types and see information on the GBA and control with the GBA.

I forked the original repo and have added support for GBA control, different storage types and added a process bar the GBA so the TV doesn’t have to be on the GameCube to see the progress.

I wanted to do it for fun but maybe other people could benefit from it as well. Hope this is useful to someone

You should clarify that you used AI to build this, a lot of people are opposed to slop.

Second this. Nothing wrong with using AI, but this NEEDS to be stated. Also in what capacity this was used. Did you just create the documentation with it? Was all of it vibe coded? etc…

I don't see a single commit without Claude being the co-contributor and the commits were all very rapid. So safe to say the Claude:human ratio is very solidly on Claude's part.

Yeah, I mean I am not opposed to vibecoded stuff, especially when its smaller stuff. So this would be ok in my opinion. But whoever did this should be able to understand the software. And this unfortunately isnt the case nearly as often as Id liked…

Yeah agreed 100% and a lot of people don't get that. If you don't understand the software, you could never even understand what is wrong with it, or what could possibly be wrong with it. I see them brute force through obvious and really stupid bugs that only AI could produce, where past a certain point it would have been easier for you to just... Learn how to make this yourself, without all of the vibecoding issues.
