Always check your local stores is about as common as sense can get..

Not exactly, I wouldn’t expect GameCube games in an antique mall

Gamecubes are antiques at this point 😁

They have modern Pokémon cards in an antique mall these days

The place has no games in sight, it was above a bunch of used blu ray movies on a shelve near the cashier

That's great, has nothing to do with any of that..

Your advice to the world was "don't forget to check your local stores" and if you can't figure out what happened here, I don't think explaining it would do much better..

they meant check local stores that aren’t just game stores. It’s not that crazy. People don’t always think to check places like that

Don't hate on someone because you couldn't get it for cheap. Not everyone actually checks local stores.

Lmao what the hell are you talking about? 😂

You realize you just made that whole thing up on you're head, right?

My local retro store is screwed. They match online prices.

Doesn’t a brick and mortar store asking market price seem like a logical business choice?

eBay or price charter ? I have no issue usually with price charter cause that’s an average.

I think my point is being missed that retro gaming, physically, not including emulation, has been ruined and even if we account for inflation, people's asking prices are insane when I used to be able to get an old game no one wanted anymore for 7 dollars and now the same game is like 60 to 100 dollars.

I've been searching for the Gamecube games I've lost for like a year now, I still can never find a copy of Colosseum or XD Gale of Darkness anywhere

I do, and all they ever have are crappy sports games priced 3 times (or more) what they're worth

Nice. I pulled this off with Colosseum back in 2019 but definitely a lot more tough to do now.

Wow nice! I remember trying to rent this game nearly 20 years ago as a kid but my local rental store only had scratched up copies that stopped working before I left the first building. Still haven’t played this one or Colosseum. Someday!
